Fireblade is the only version of the honda that has diferential in HP. But Blades arent allowed in US due to emission standards.

your right, the "fireblade" is a european bike. the technical name for these bikes in 1000RR, but alot of people like to call them fireblades. i know that honda makes fireblade editions, my point to this guy with his repsol is that his bike isnt a fireblade. As for the performance difference, the repsol has more HP over stock edition. This is due to a different mapping programmed into the bikes computer. dont think your paying $800 more over stock for stickers that cost $300 aftermarket.

haha no. Repsol is a spanish oil company that sponsors HRC. The "Repsol Edition" is limited to CBR1000RR model lineup. Any bike other then their 1000RR in Repsol colours is merely an aftermarket graphics or bodywork. A Repsol Edition is factory tuned with a different ECU mapping.

They are easy to find, the 2005 model is a good buy as well, looks almost identical ( i have one ). They are a fast bike, but any biker will tell you it's all window dressing with a Repsol, mine will go 275km/h maybe abit more, nothing special for many of today's bikes. The thing with Repsol's ( in my opinion ) is the colour scheme, the attention it gets when i am out riding is unbelievable, thinking about getting a 2007 next year but as i said the 2005 still kicks ass.
