Armada had plenty of faults in it, this is true. Stupid stuff like the pointless kids and terrible lines.

It is not, however, totally and completely bad. It had a lot of great moments, the death of Optimus Prime, Starscream's character developement, Unicron's foreshadowing and introduction, and most definately this fight makes it rank among my favorites.

The only TF series I can truly say was shit in every conceivable way is the sequal to this, Energon.

Armada was among the best AU Transformers series. A perfect ending to the show and I hated Energon for milking this up. When I watch this, I'm always wondering what it would be like in Smallville when Clark went up against Battle Suit Lex Luthor.

I've always compared Optimus Prime/ Megatron to Superman/ Lex Luthor.

This is just the end of the Armada story. Energon comes after this and then Cybertron finishes up the timeline in the Armada universe (at least in the english translation it does). Armada's universe has nothing to do with the original which ended with Beast Machines or Animated's universe.

This is the only episode where the transformers are actually articulate and aren't doing Pokemon "stills". The series should have had more action like this one. Not action as in shooting and killing, but action as in movement of the robots instead of what Pokemon does. (You know what I am talking about).

Yea, I know what you mean. In "Transformers Revenge of the Fallen(2009)," it was like Oprimus Prime wanted more revenge on the Decepticons, then "The Fallen" wanted more revenge on the "Primes." Plus Optimus Prime(OP) wasn't acting like his G1 counterpart. Now, I know this isn't G1(Generation 1) anymore, but you think the writers would make Optimus Prime's movie character(in both films) more G1 accurate.
