  • she is so beautiful

  • @tgmrsunshine I'm right-handed, but I'm also left-handed to the guitar... don't know why, I just prefer to play with my left hand :)

  • The QUEEN of Rock!!! :)

  • she plays a right handed guitar but writes with her left hand wtf?

  • @tgmrsunshine so do I, it's just how I was taught and it's one I feel comfortable with

  • She got really nice voice compare to Cherrie.

  • Rock and roll!

  • 105 people need better taste in music.

  • JOAN <33333!

  • I think that this music gets much better in Joan's voice.

  • i wanna met her !!

  • I LOveeeee Joan Jett

  • So this song "I say hey" really exists, and it's a Joan Jett's song? I heard that for the first time in one of the old Cheech and Chong's movies but I thought it was only some nonsense Cheech Marin had made up :)

  • TE AMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • @ahadnagy167 I'd love Joan to be popular, but still I'd kinda hate it. It would be kinda awful if that unique idol from the 80s would sell out. That would be annoying. Sorry for bad English, I'm Finnish...

  • I love this. Joan Jett is a legend, and someones don't even now about her existence.

  • @cherierawrr I didn't exist till last month :3

  • @cherierawrr She really was great. One of the few female rockers that could hold her own, and then some, with make fronted bands.

  • @cherierawrr im 15 and i still know her existence !!!! this is awesome rock !!!!!!!!! love her

  • @cherierawrr I didn't know her until yesterday O_O now im addicted!

  • @mdlldearlee I think it's New Orleans. I guess that was the name.

  • She's pretty cool.

  • This is good. But I like Cherrie's version better! :)

  • I like the Joan Jett version better than the Cherie Currie :))

  • MASTERPIECE, I WOULD LIKE SEE ONE OF HIS CONCERT

  • She's hot.

  • i think it's real funny when kids call the band the runaways 'cherry bomb'. it's not cute and i never correct them, i watch them learn like when people don't pronounce deadmau5 as 'dead mouse'.

  • Although I'm a girl, I fell in love with this woman. Dammit she's so hot!!!

I'm definitely born in the wrong decade! Shit, I want the 70s!

  • @milenamitzzy I'm pretty sure shes bi lol

  • another quality tune by this babe. Just in a whole different league from the others.

  • Shes so gorgeous and I'm proud to call her one of my idols<3

  • I love this cover and think is better than the original, Joan gave the song the attitude and anger that Cherie could not.

  • joan jett is bad ass

  • what is that song playing at the beginning? anybody

  • @dianarockstar1911 new orleans

  • OK, I'm really sick of people going on about people today don't appreciate good rock. Yes, I am twelve. No, I was not born during the Golden Age of Rock and Roll. I love rock, any rock really, plain and simple, and I have loved Joan Jett since I was seven. Age shouldn't matter when it comes to appreciating good music.

  • Well done Joan.

  • @ahadnagy167 she might not be as popular as she used to, but she's been attracting more and more fans. Plus, she's 53 and still hot as hell!

  • Joan Jett is now my #1 ROLE MODEL

  • Joan you're my hero!

  • i say hey hey heyyeeeehhh CHERRY BOMB :P

  • tch tch tch tch CHERRY BOOOOOOOOOOMB

  • im young the new generation and i like both new and old music but i looove older music

  • She resembles the late supermodel Gia .

  • @JJoanJJettGGirl That was beautiful. Joan Jett has definitely changed my life and how I look at music. Thank you for voicing your opinion. :)

  • Does she write lefty and play guitar right handed?

  • I love this song!!

  • no offence to cherie or anything but joan jett totally sang this better than her

  • I don't know either why she is not more recognized as an authentic bad-ass from way back. Have you watched those videos of the Runaways performing on Japanese T.V.? Their sound was great, great crunching guitars etc. And yes, she was a proto-punk of the first order, she wanted the Runaways to become a punk band, basically, and Lita Ford didn't. Bad Reputation is a punk song, the Ramones could have written that one. Her current band rocks, see them in person if you get the chance.

  • HoTtY!!!

  • love her!

  • She's a FOX!!! Her music is awesome:}

  • i wish people my age knew real music :/

    I LOVE JOAN JETT!!!!

  • Joan Jett Has the most beautiful smile in the world !

  • this wuz my fav song growing up & still is!!! fkn luv joan jett!!!!!!!

  • AWWWWWWWWWWWYEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! lml

  • Wow, did you recognize, that she writes with her left hand, and plays the guitar as a right-handed?

  • I'm a girl, I was born in 1995, and I just hate it when most of my friends only listen to mainstream pop and RnB or whatever's on the radio. I LOVE music from the '70s '80s '90s, and ESPECIALLY rock n roll

  • @xXrenceXx yeah some hope for humanity (im from 98)!!

  • @xXrenceXx Same here, cept' I'm from 96 grew up listening to Joan Jett, Led Zepplin, the Doors, Patti Smith ect. and I'm SO grateful to my dad for that... ugh worst one is the twats stuck in 'indie' who refuse to listen to anything else and claim they know everything about music... sorry for the rant but MAN our generation sucks! Always good to know there are other non-zombieclones out there

  • :O what was the song in the beginning?

  • @XxChemicalRomance1xX joan jett - the new orleans :)

  • @XxChemicalRomance1xX It's just called New Orleans, but Joan Jett wasn't the first to do it, it's from the late '50s or early '60s. Gary "US" Bonds did it first. You can find vid of him performing it here on YouTube.

  • 102 Personas no Saben de Rock y son unos Ignorantes (;

    I LOVE JOAN JETT♥

  • Yes the runaways was a funny movie and a good band :)

  • it was a great time to be a teenager we grew up with this music ....

  • @macca4484 Yes we did!!! was not old enough to know the runaways, but was old enough to know jone jett and the blackhearts! Have been to see her twice in my early 20's and cant wait to see her live again!!! She does great live shows and always rocks it out!!! MY ROCK GODESS ALWAYS!!!!!!

  • Joanie's outfits r out of this world and i mean that in a good way.i love it how she spites the water out on stage as if 2 say HEY,I DON'T GIVE A FUCK,I'M THE QUEEN JOAN JETT!!!2 me,she is the greatest RockStar of all times!!!LOVE YA JOAN!!!

  • She is the Queen of Rock N' Roll and Punk Music!!!i am hooked, like crazy on her music!!!i am very happy 4 her, that she has a huge chance for the Rock and Roll HOF.CHERRY BOMB!!!:)

  • yeah AND The movie 'The Runaways' is awesome too! You guys should check it out! ;) Kristen Stewart plays Joan Jett & Dakota Fanning plays Cherie Currie!

  • @ThePrettyEvil me too!! :) but i have 13

  • This was one of my fav. songs as a little girl.

  • im 14 and I fuckin love this song!!

  • I get very saddened by this trend of young people not knowing who great musicians were, or what excellent music was around, before 1995. When I was a kid in the 1970s, I knew all the swing, blues, and big band songs because my parents played them. What's going on? Aren't kids' parents tuning them in to this stuff? Or are younger people living in a musical vacuum by choice, and are closed-minded and uninterested in what came before?

  • @ladymesc1 Yeah, I'm not sure what's going on with my generation. We're screwed. :(

  • @ladymesc1 I'm 11 and my parents always tell me not to listen to the new music. I like old stuff so much better.

  • @osobalou That's because you've got great taste, little rocker!

  • @ladymesc1 im 15, been listening to rock/metal since i was young.

but true , most kids/teens nowadays like horrible music imo

  • @MetalChickxX Where are all of you cool kids hiding? Seems I only see the boring ones walking around.

  • @ladymesc1 hehe . dont worry , its cuz 90% of society is boring!

  • @MetalChickxX Yeah, 90% is about right. And don't let anyone tell you different about rock 'n' roll's Golden Age, either, because when I was growing up in the 1960s/1970s, I was surrounded by conformists. Maybe 80% then, but oh...that other 20%! As Joan would say: "Aaaaoooooowwwwwwww!"

  • @ladymesc1 i know its very sad, in my defence my folks hardly ever listened to music so i had to kind of find my own way with that!, but it saddens me that young people haven't heard of joan jett, queen or david bowie cos they're only intereste din whats in the charts right now!

  • @gadfageyar Good for you, because you have natural curiosity and an open mind. That's what most people lack. Back then, we just accepted David Bowie's uniqueness and didn't think he was "weird" at all. In our eyes, HE was the normal one!

  • @ladymesc1 I love david bowie so much, we need to bring back glam rock, sick of all this dance music shit!!

I want the return of leather jackets, torn jeans and big hair!! and glitter!!

  • @gadfageyar Hear, hear!

  • @ladymesc1 hey, u better re-think about what u just said/wrote, because i have been listening to this stuff since like, forever- i grew up with this awesomeness!! (in fact, my dad taught me this stuff, and I taught my mom! )so did my boyfriend, he plays electric, and his dad plays bass. as for me, i play eletric, acoustic, piano, flute, and slighty drums....so..... oh, and did i mention that i just turned 13? and my boyfriend is 14!

  • @startrekgirl258 In one of my comments, I acknowledged that there are very cool young people out there; I just don't encounter them. I'm trying to get my mind around why your kind aren't the ones getting recording contracts, or why the music industry wants so badly to make young rockers totally invisible and instead pays to put crap on the radio. Don't worry. I know you're out there, and it gives me hope.

  • @startrekgirl258 One other thing. I'm really glad for you that you seem to be in a musically supportive environment. When I was 13, we were told, "Girls can't play rock 'n' roll...period!" We had no sports, only the boys were allowed to take gym class, etc. And we certainly wouldn't have had supportive boyfriends who would stand for us playing rock 'n' roll. They would be afraid we would show them up. You needed a very strong will to do things that were not stereotypically "female."

  • @startrekgirl258 That comment doesn't apply to every young person alive today, just the ones who actually think that people like Justin Bieber or Rebecca Black or Miley Cyrus actually have talent. I'm eighteen and The Beatles are my favourite band. At work the other day I was called an 'old-timer' by a 30 year old because I was singing along to an Elvis song that was on the radio. Those of us who were raised on the good stuff are the lucky ones.

  • @carolyncarnage I'm lucky too! I grew up on the 50's 60's & 70's! A little of the 80's. But I'm called "Old School" or "Old timer" By everyone. I honestly don't know alot of new music. And the Beatles are my favorite too! I'm just shy of 15. But it feels great when someone of that era compliments you and enjoys being around you cuz you know all that stuff! Right?

  • @CaptainEO1985 You lucky person!!

  • @ladymesc1 I'm pretty sure it's a kid's choice kind of thing. You hear kids complaining that their parents listen to old music.

  • @ladymesc1

    this is too gerneral. fullstop.

  • good lord, I miss high school.

  • Amo a esta mujer! :3

  • Joan Jett is a legend, and NO ONE in my class would not know who she is, if they would not everybody know that I love her ;) She is my idol and my inspiration!

  • found my mommy

  • Nobody cares how fucking young you are. Music is music, and Joan Jett is Joan Jett. Just because other 14 yr olds and younger might not know who Joan Jett is doesn't make you elite for knowing. She's a rock goddess, yes, but age shouldn't matter. Doesn't matter whether it's old or not.

  • @AnimeKanime Hey thats what i say XD

  • @AnimeKanime This. I can't tell you how sick I am of those comments all over YouTube. Especially those that claim the same thing, and then proceed to state their age anyway. Who the fuck cares?!

  • i cant stay at home or school and im 10

  • @AGinnerstar and 102 people can wow .... just bitches

  • @ThePrettyEvil im 13 i do

  • @GoatSoup77 Weird? Fuck you >=(

  • @MissKristenStewart No ...I said weird cause I said "'fucking bad ass awsome"' like Im 12 or something ...ment nothing negitive about it

  • @anotherlameaccount I know what you mean XD

  • @anotherlameaccount I know what you mean XD

  • babaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas!!!

  • Loved Joan since I was a little kid. Thank god my parents let me listen to good stuff at such a young age. Not many kids are able to say their favorite song is "Bad Reputation" and "Bicycle Race" when they're six.

  • FELIZ CUMPLEAÑOS! TE AMO

  • THIS IS MY WIFE AND IM NOT GAY!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOAN. YOU LOOK MARVELOUS!!!!

  • Happy Birthday Joan!

  • so in love with her..OMG.

  • JOAAAN <3<3<3<3<3<3

  • Wouldn't matter to me w/c version was better. Like'em both actually, besides, it was her and Fowler who originally wrote this song together.

  • love this.love jone!!! this is what it is all about. ioved u then andlove u now!!!! kim in sc. hope i can c u rock again soon!!!!

  • ROCKNROLLLL

  • I still think Cherrie's version is better. But I prefer Joan to Cherrie on most of the other songs

  • ive been listening to joan since 1980== she is the 2nd most badass female vocalist ever and the most badass alive== W.O.W. still holds the crown for alltime (r.i.p.)

  • omg! im so turned on!! i want her!! i dont even care if shes in her 50's

  • This is the reason i get so turned on when i get called wild!

  • WAY better than cherie!

  • I like it better with Cherie singing! Joan jet has some good songs. And paved the way for bands like evanescence, hailstorm and such. But no one dose cherry bomb like Cherie

  • Without someone get angry at me,i have to say, this version is better than any other...Joan Jett kicks ass.Real female riot.

  • I am SO proud to be an 80s baby!!!

  • @da1anonle this was made in the 70's, hon. Anyway, i think that joan jett and cherie currie are hard to compare. but i, personally, like joan better. shes so mcuh more HARDCORE.

  • @HannahMayJune 1984

  • @justcallmejoe i thought that the runaways got together in 75 and broke up in 79.

  • @HannahMayJune Yeah, but this is Joan Jett, without the runaways.

She was much better without them, as time proved.

  • @HannahMayJune I definetly love Joan better and this version of Cherry Bomb was released on her 1984 Album.
