Hey, I love your channel and I really find it inspirational that you're trying to become a Producer. I have a question to ask you.. Would you be interested in learning lots of different features in Reason 5 in exchange for some of your knowledge in FL? It really seems like you know your stuff!! and I know quite a bit about reason
Its good practice to put the eq in the end of the return so that the reverb and compressor dont intensify certain frequencies and make the delays sound muddy
If the synth you use has a built in delay effect like Sylenth does its best to use that I feel, I tried for a while to get the best delay effect in my remake of Brazil and Sylenth was by far the easiest way to do it and probably the most accurate. I may be wrong (using my laptop speakers!) but it doesnt sound like the FL delay has the ping pong effect eithe. Just my thoughts, feel free to listen to my remake on my channel and let me know. BTW, you've got some great stuff on your channel :)
@Diablos22 After I did the video, I did realize that Sylenth had low cut and high cut capabilities on the delay effect, but I still think that using an external effect source is much more forgiving, and you can play with the different settings, rather than having to go into the VSTi itself and figure out ways around it to get a cool sound. Fruity delay 2, in fact, does have a ping pong effect, you just need to set it up right to get it to work.
@Diablos22 To do that, you're going to want to select the Ping pong checkbox in Fruity delay, and the leftmost knob, labeled as "Pan," I believe, just turn that to the right or left however much you want, doesn't matter which way, it will still produce the same sound. Then the delay will bounce off the left and right channels.
