Found this version of 'Stranger on the Shore' after listening to the original by Acker Bilk. Great tune. I had not heard this version, but I'm also 64 and have been a fan of instrumental bands ever since high school. Love The Shadows and The Ventures, too. Thanks for sharing.
Greetings SirBasildeBrush. I'm a audiophile since I was in high school. I'm 64 years old now and I was amazed that you still kept copies of the original Eagles instrumental group hits in the early 60's. My favorite is Strangers on the Shore but March of the Eagles, Pipelines, Station Six Sahara, and many more are certainly a dream to own. Reading from comments from your various listener, there was already CD released of this band. Can you please comment on this. boochums2009@gmail.com
@boochums1 Thanks for droppin by. I have all these on a CD released by See For Miles Records in 1989, which also came out on LP. The only original Eagles vinyl I have from that time is an EP from the film 'Some People'.
nice version...The Eagles? are they the original artist? sorry, i'm wondering... how about The Eagles who did the hotel california? are they different from each other?
@brodcaster1956 They are not the original artist for this tune, nor is there any relation between the British Eagles here and the US 'Hotel California' Eagles. But still a wonderful version...
By far ... the best instrumental version of, "Strangers On The Shore" I've ever heard. So sexy to listen to. Superbly, excellently, and beautifully done!! Crystal clear sound ... so suave ... and so smooth playing. Thanks for sharing this ... didn't realize The Eagles recorded such intrumental.

Isadora Duncan...sans clothing with a long flowing scarf...modern dance at it's best...on some forgotten shore...and no comment concerning Isadora's demise with a long scarf and a car axle...it just would not be cricket...
What a dreamy summer song.... Evil will stay on the shore and enjoy this once again.. Thank you Sir.... so much, for posting this beautiful song. Hugs,
Very good, relaxing version......it could be The Shadows incognito!
