  • When u store the 30rnd mag like that, where it's sticking out of the stock a lil' umm, is it secure at all? It looks like it can fall out if you bump the rifle around. Is that true? Or is it pretty secure O.o (I'm getting one of these rifles XD)

  • @SuperSneakySniper It's actually pretty secure.. there are two spring loaded pin-type things that stick into the ridges on the standard gi mags and hold them in pretty well... if you start bashin the rifle around really hard they may fall out but i think you would be causing other damage haha... if you're really worried about it, they go in concave side up also even more securely, but a little harder to get out.

  • Hey man, I REALLY& want a Kel-tec, I am only concerned about its reliability. Is it a gun that jams alot? Moreso or about the same as an AR-15? I have experience with AR's and know they don't jam that much under usual conditions. So I would hope the SU-16 wouldn't jam any more than the AR? Did u do any mods to the gun to increase its relability?

  • @SuperSneakySniper The Kel-Tec is very reliable under normal conditions. It is not a military-bourne rifle so it will not stand up to a real thrashing but so far it has taken everything I have thrown at it in stride. It uses a gas piston like an AK so the chamber stays fairly clean. A lot of the plastic parts are self lubricating which cuts down on dirt collecting on oil and grease. Get one man, I cannot recommend them enough... they are tons of fun!

  • @darthvader906 Haha, okay, well I plan to get one for Christmas :D I want to use it for my 3-gun matches, I currently borrow an AR-15 but I think it's time I get my own tactical Carbine. I couldn't dish the cash for a Mini14 or AR, and wanted something lighter, faster, and more unique. Have you had any problems with different mags? Or will just about any work?

  • @SuperSneakySniper I've used standard GI, P-Mags, Pro Mags and the Sig 556 mags... they all feed well and lock in tight, but the polymer ones don't drop freely.

  • Sick reloads man.
