  • 1:25 it's very funny!

  • Comment removed

  • forest?

  • that sound timo makes at 1:10 is burned into my memory for some reason

  • I am form brazil and i like football and table tennis.

  • How hasnt Wang Hao won a gold medal in Olympics-2 silver!!!!!!!! maybe next year-he is now world no.1

  • true men play ice hockey!!

  • the good thing with boll, is that he never gives up. is you see Samsonov or Kreanga, they don`t run to get theball. Boll is my favorite europe player after Waldner

  • 2:00 strongest driver i've ever seen.

  • awesome

  • what happend at 1:33?

  • best match ive seen so far

  • T-Mobile?

  • Wang Hao farts with every serve :D

  • Timo was probably saying "I'd like to h@ng out with my W@ng out".

  • Wake up Timo

  • chinesen sind die besten kann man gegen nix unternehmen^^

  • I love table tennis and football (brazilian football).

  • @Uol3000 what the fuck its 'brazilian' football?

  • @Uol3000 what the hell is "Brazilian football?

  • Timo shoddof won? I see not why of Timo should won. Hao was decisively better in this game. Timo has many a quality that he deserves the world number 1 ranking he now again has, but Hao at his best is formidable and was so in this game, And goldurn it, an rpb that is better than most shakehanders' backhand is just stunning, I daresay Wang's backhand is second only to perhaps Kreanga's. And that's saying something as Boll has a superstrong backhand himself oftentimes.

  • i think timo's serve let him down

wang hao could easy attack his serves during out the game

  • 1:49 SO CLOSE!

  • kill the rice easter!!

  • A ese chinito los vamos acocinar como se le cocina a un pork!!!

  • really good sportsmanship there at the end :)

  • one of the best matches ive seen.

  • 0:29 lol *snort*

  • @bbly096 HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • ok guys, look at IITF webiste

    and look for graphs

MA long has dipped and Timo boll has peaked..

He will become world Number 1 soon

But chinese players overall are masters at Table Tennis.

I love timo Boll's counter defence Game, whereas all chinese players just attack!:(

  • Boys play football,

    mens play table tennis!

  • @AdHi1939

I don't see 50, 60, 70 yr olds playing football but they do play table tennis.

Table tennis will get more popular too.

  • @AdHi1939 @B00n4p anyone who actually beleives that is a freak and thats why you both play ping pong instead of a real sport.

  • @antiguccimane why even bother posting this here? no one is going to see your comment and stop plying table tennis to go join a football team.

Also, just as a general guideline to go by, if any given activity takes hours of physical training every day to do at a competitive level, and is included in the olympics, you would be safe to call it a real sport. troll somewhere else please.

  • @qazwsxa1029 you saw my comment so obviously mine was worth it. and stop calling it "table tennis" like its a real sport, its a game like foosball.

  • @antiguccimane i'm guessing the only table tennis you know is playing casually in the garage/basement with your friends, which is totally fine. talking down to people who know it as a sport is not. there's no olympic medal for foosball :)

  • @qazwsxa1029 ya that would be retarded if there was. just like its retarded to have one for PING PONG

  • @qazwsxa1029 sorry mate there is medals for football..

  • @AdHi1939 mens spell men properly noob

  • Boll gameplay is well balance and so is Hao's but when it comes to the better in skills and form hao dominates boll

  • @cooiyoung ball*

  • @cooiyoung oh Boll is the name of the guy

  • haha what are you talking about boll used to be ranked no 1

  • wang hao is on steroids or something, he plays to hard, timo plays more beautefull..

  • table tennis should be the future

  • boll must be very frustrated. he knows he will never rank top 1. He just fights to hold on to his rank.

  • @Quy4life a, a, a... he is now on 2nd place no more 5th ;)

  • @Quy4life He was once the top ranked table tennis player in the world. He lost his top rank in 2003.

  • Watching these professional videos only makes me realize how WEAK my top spin is. I one day wish to be able to smash as hard as they do.

  • the chinese acknowledge that timo is a good player......chinese players learn among themselves....on the other hand timo is the best player in germany...

  • the video is sickening. Although Wang Hao won predominantly, it almost only shows the points he lost.

  • @SSJ5VegetaV4

Totally agreed, this video was posted by a German, i think, or someone that hates chinese.

  • @SSJ5VegetaV4 What are you talking about? Its pretty even.

  • @kevinkenny3 Boll won 20 of the points in the video, Hao only 13. That is a huge gap, especially since Hao won 4 sets, while Boll only won 1. You can't see that?.

  • @SSJ5VegetaV4 You can't count >.>

Hao got 18 points and Timo got 20 points in the video. I don't see that as a "huge" gap.

  • @kevinkenny3 By that logic, Timo still won though, and very much so did not get outplayed 4-1 in sets.

  • @SSJ5VegetaV4 So if you see the highlights of a certain match, whoever had more highlights is the winner? That's complete bull. A person could be playing normal points and still end up winning the match. By your logic, the Cleveland Cavaliers win every game because Lebron had a highlight dunk.

  • intense..

  • stil , i dont understand wang hao serve , i cant see the spin :S

  • Pretty easy match for Wang.

  • lovely fart 3:55

  • Boll looks lost the whole game.

  • if you like ping pong please check out my channel! and subscribe!!

  • lol a penhold guy owning a shakehand with reverse backhand. I always get a satisfying feeling from that.

  • 2:20 the perfect choe!!!!!

  • i love timo but if wang get better on his serve he will be unbeatible

  • @007StevenS wang has a good serve though

  • At 1:57 the commentator says something about the Chinese television going off air during a live broadcast once. Anybody have more information on this?

  • i don't know which match exactly it was but i mean timo boll was on the way to win against a great chinese (i thin wnag liquin) and CCTV didnn't want to show wang liquin loosing againt a great Timo Boll.

  • @alacorn75 timo boll played too good against wanq liqin and they didnt show this match to the end

  • no match wang is way better!!

  • super

  • i can play pretty simular to wang hao now, just trying to do his serves.

  • der kommentator klingt ein bisschen lustig

    weils geschnitten is

  • Awesome match.Chinese dragons are realy better then timo boll. Timo is best europan player second samsonov..

  • Well, Maze is right up there, but he seems more inconsistent than Boll or Samsonov. Some days he looks like he can beat absolutely anyone (like in the EC final against Schlager this year) and other days he just seems off. Could be his back. I suppose.

  • Timo Boll is awesome!! he is the only european guy that gives the chinese a run for their money.

  • @sincerityboii

timo boll is very good but giving the chinese a run for their money? surely ur not talking about wang hao and ma lin..maybe the others yes but ..

  • das chinesische fernsehen stieg damals aus einer live-übertragung aus, weil.. ?? wollt ich eigentlich wissen =/

  • @aLeonDegiuamelle weil timo boll das spiel gegen wanq liqin dominierte

  • best match from Wang Hao i' ve ever seen before

his backhand is so damn good!

  • Awesome match. Timo played his heart out, but Wang's attacks are just so damn powerful.

  • I was there!! Great match and all the matches of that tournament were also great!

  • ossy hat nen kleinen lümmel

    .

    .

    .

    .

    Timo boll the best

    is a perfect game

  • Wang attacks are so solid almost never ending.

  • football sucks, table tennis is the future!

  • Dude football is an american football is amazing, soccer is pretty good too. So don't diss other sports.

  • Comment removed

  • When did I say I can't see the ball? Your grammar fails, you're comparing a plural noun to a singular noun. And please, I know I can beat you in table tennis. Those who can't even say the name of the sport correctly don't deserve to play it.

  • Man, i can't agree with you more. Table Tennis is a great sport. There's no violence no players going around drunk and no big temper tantrums (most of the time) No sport is perfect... but table tennis is pretty close.

  • No, table tennis is for everyone if you are trained correctly you will gain reflex, concentration and balance. If you have never trained or played before obviosly you are going to have difficulty getting the ball but as you play you improve your reflexes. So please don't underestimate the usefullness of table tennis training. And especially dont underestimate the power of the mind.

  • @B00n4p amen

  • @B00n4p American football sucks, 2010 WM Soccer ROCKS ! But this is also very good.

  • @B00n4p sry dude but it s stupid to compare those 2 sports!

  • @moosivasli no its not.

  • @B00n4p haha. Table Tennis is awesome :)

  • @B00n4p

i love table tennis but you dream a litle bit ;)

  • The best sport ever!! can't stop watching clips.. 3rd hour in a row now.. a long lost love has been found again rofl

    classic vid!

  • also, this match is pure magic!

  • ryu? for real? HADOKEN!! sry :P

  • ryu is number 18 and the rest of the top 10 are shake hand. only one chopper in the top ten also (hyuk)

  • I am CHINESE.i used shakehand 5years.I think shakehand is not easy.

  • wtf did i just see? lol. thats how u play pingpong?

  • man! wang hao is probabaly the only pen holder among the top 10 ping pong players in the world. i can't believe that he can actually play strong with his backhand as a pen holder

  • markchanggz

i think 4 of the top 5 world rankings are penholders, which are Chinese players (East Asians generally use the penhold grip). Timo Boll (ranked 4th as of today) is the only 1 of the 5 that uses shakehand grip i think.

however, i understand you. i do the shakehand because i can't fucking do backhands doing penholds. i can hardly do proper forehands with penholds. i don't know how the Chinese players do it either.

  • wait, Ma Long (currently ranked #2) uses shakehand i think, or does he?

well anyway, my point is that Wang Hao is not the only penholder in the top 10. there are plenty of others.

  • right, ma uses shakehand for sure, and Wang Liqin (rank 5) uses shakehand as well. I don't know who is ranked the 3rd, probabaly ma lin.

  • maybe he is not the only one. you are right. but top 10 is predominantly shakehand.

  • yeah, i checked. only wang hao and ma lin use pen hold among the top 10.

  • really ?

Ma Long, Chen Qi, Hao Shuai - all shakehand ?

and Ryu, isn`t he any more in Top 10 ?

  • yes, all three of them are shakehand. Ryu is #11 now, I think.

  • i think it's hard to play good backhand with penhold unless you can play like wang hao's peculiar backhand style (started by liu guo liang). i started with pen hold but changed to shakehand. it's much more advantageous.

  • there's gotta be more than 2 penholders in the top 10. are you sure it's only 2 of them?

if i had the choice, i'd play penhold, only that i really suck at it. but i heard some say if you're good at it, it's better than shakehand.

  • Don't get me wrong. some ppl play pen hold really well, such as wang hao. But it is indisputable that pen hold is less powerful. this is why ppl like wang hao plays backhand by using the shakehand style.

  • i heeard that if you're good at penhold, that your backhand is better due to better concentration of the wrist movement and energy or something.

  • another easy kill for mr hao. nice game

  • timo boll is fantastic!

    Nicee

  • I really love tabletennis !!!

  • timo defends too much...he needs to start flipping more and take that first attack...if you guys see that timo pushes 75% of the time on the serve... you just cant do that with the chinese players....you got to bring it to them...

  • That's right. If got that problem too.

  • does he have an big advantage because of playing left handed`?

  • 1:30-1:32 talk about epic fail!!

  • @mrxexellent hhaha great real fail it's because his racket wasn't high enough =)

  • @mrxexellent happens under pressure..

  • @Claire1Rogers what pressure? he's winning 2-0, timo is the one under pressure

  • @mrxexellent well its not like wang is playing a school boy-sometimes excitement of winning a point overtakes u. I have seen Federer miss the simplest shots at times. Maybe if u play competitively u ll know what i mean :)

  • Warum zeigst du nur die Boll Punkte?

  • warum bist du soer behindert?^^da sind auch punkte von wang hao^^

  • Comment removed

  • TU PAPA!

  • Amazing! For the best chinese player is still Wang Liquin.

  • You're right. Wang Hao looks so balance. However, he also looks very slow in comparision to other players i.e Timo & Ma lin or Ma Long. What amazed me is he is able to compete with those players so well, except Ma lin in the oplympic.

  • i think wang hao is the best!!!!!!!!

  • I do too. He is ranked #1 right now.

  • the power of Hao is his spin and his consistency, not his one-shot-kill like Ma Lin. Timo is mentally not as strong as Hao and lacks footwork.

  • Timo has a bad back, then again, he'd never use that as an excuse.

  • Timo is mentally the strongest, I don't know how you suggest that Timo is lacking in footwork, cause he has one of the best footwork of the world. How do i know that? Cause I have see a video where Timo Boll was compared by other world class players, he has almost the same footwork as Rye Seung Min and other Korean players.

But he is an European, and he has a 'elastic' two winged loop, where Wang Hao has a full body two winged loop. Only Wang Hao is very consistent.

  • Amazing. The reason I switched to international from pen is because I couldn't figure out how to backhand. Wang makes it look easy :(

  • great match

  • Great match, but Timo got raped. Not in game score, but in strategy.

  • great players both but wang hao better

    good control !

  • Great match :)

  • Great game :)

  • wang hao's strong 2-sided attack keeps timo boll on the defense. what seems like little gap in score is not little gap in strategy and skill. timo boll is maxed out in skill for his playing style.

  • Total BS!

  • lol boll has to be on defensive coz chinese rubbers are much more explosive close range. so he starts off on defensive all the time

  • haha, you can't blame rubbers for that. the strength of penhold is that it utilizes the wrist much more, which allows for more aggressive looping over the table. traditionally, this advantage has been offset by the disadvantage of a poor backhand attacking options, but with reverse backhand, the backhand can be used even more effectively than the forehand in looping both over the table and far from the table. that is why wang is always able to attack first

  • my two favorites players of all time displaying a great match =)

  • I admire Timo Boll. Only he has matching skills with chinese super players. I often see hee looses in the finals with seemingly unlucky ways. I think he deserve to win WTF title at least for once.( Due respect to the chinese players).

  • I don't know if he matches the Chinese top 5, he has a losing record against all of them. He has a 18 win 39 loss record in tournament play against Wang Hao, Wang Liqin, Ma Long, Ma Lin, and Chen Qi, so a two to one loss to win record, hardly equal or deserving of top player honors.

  • Really I don't know the stats. But what I say Timo is the only one playing against them matchingly(Other than retired great Waldner). Even Wang Hao great and was the no 1 he lost to Ryu in 2004 and to Malin 2008. But in general he is the best in the league. So I say Timo is also skilled. He is playing since 2004 with top chinese players.(Who else other than S.Korean challenge chinese TT). So he deserves to be the WTF champ. See the way he plays and loose points. Some times pure unlucky.

  • I really like Timo Boll's style, he plays more blocking these days, which greatly increase the content of his game!

He deserves a WTTC single champion.

  • I don't see how he does...he has a losing career record against Wang Hao, Wang Liqin, Ma Lin, Ma Long, and Chen Qi...he is not the best player. He'd be lucky to make the abroad Chinese national team if he were Chinese at this point. Yes he's 3rd in the world, but thats only because he doesnt play Chinese players often. He's only won 3 or 4 events where the Chinese were there.

  • he's 4th in the world

  • I like the booth players realy mutch but I like Wang Hau little more =)

  • look to timo's short.!! wahahah

  • timo didnt play well =[

  • u dont play better ...

    timo is a good player

  • I see the perfect strokes from this video. I actually favourite this video and watch it over and over again as a lesson video on almost everything (forehand loop, backhand hoop, block, smash, fishing, serve, footwork.......)

    Magnificent game!!!!

  • You can see how Wang Hao and Timo shook hands at the end, and Wang Hao placing an arm around Timo. They respect each other.

As for the game, it seems to me that Wang Hao had more power and better footwork, which won him a lot of points.

  • Mein Gott wie die aufeinander einprügeln! - Schade daß das Video so hart geschnitten ist, wie so viele hier

  • i use the RPB and it seems that it comes naturally to me

  • nooo timoooo

  • geiles tischtennis.....

wenigstens ein deutscher, der zumindest die meisten chinesen besiegt

  • Wang hou ist einfach der beste

    du bist der King

  • que jogãooooo

  • wanghaoftw:D

  • loww qualiti

    very good timo

  • i hate Timo Boll

  • 1:38 the ball double bounced on boll's side or the video was screwed on youtube

  • at 0:31 you have to listen^^. there ist a funny noise.

  • timo is a smart player. he noticed the difference in their technique and wasn't stubborn about adjusting it. around 3:30 or so he tries to change his fh technique to a larger arc like wang hao's
