  • At 1:08 he goes for an imaginary knob.

  • Good afternoon, I have a dr 202. But I can not record pace, grip and trigger REC. tell what to do?

    Thank you

  • hi could you help? is this analog or digital? ...im really after a analog sampler but i dont wanna waste money on digital because i might as well use a computer lol

  • My 202 beats are wayy better holmes

  • How does this compare to the alesis sr-16?

  • @theredreceivers this is better

  • I had one of these and it was awful. I guess if you cheesed it up enough it could be funny or something. lol.

  • Can you record midi from an external midi keyboard through the midi in of the dr-202? If yes, can it be done in loop overdub mode?

  • wat kit,style,pattern did u use

  • @DjSnuggieOffical I don't remember. It's been a long since I've owned the DR-202. Some hip hop kit I'm sure.

  • This is a pretty decent machine, i just learned out how to use it lol

  • Where can I find a Manual for the 202? Searched the Internet but couldnt find one!

  • They are at Roland's website. You just have to become a backstage member. It's free to join.

  • @ymir47 i still have it,i had the dr 202 and the sp 202 but my house was assaulted and the fuckers sstole them ,the manuals and pedal is the only thing left :(

  • I had one of these...very cheap construction, decent sounds, and only two lousy outputs.

Any professional machine needs at least 6 outputs.

  • This is going to be a funny question cause I own one but I was wondering does the controller data get recorded in the patterns I forget its been too long but yet I still own one lol!

  • I really don't know. I only had my 202 for about a month.

  • real good question! I think the answer is YES because i remember i got pissed of with it for overwriting it....

  • I don't remember. I only owned it for a month. I made samples out of all the sounds and sold it.

  • I found one of these in the trash... but I can't figure out how to record my OWN patters.

    How do I do this?

  • Send me an email, and I can get you a manual.

  • @bigdaddybrazil Scroll to the "User" bank and hit record

  • @bigdaddybrazil You have to go into pattern mode & either delete the existing pattern all at once or one instrument at a time by having it in record mode(light on)& holding down the pad(s) you wish to delete. Then still while in record mode you can play in your own patterns. Get the manual at the roland website free. It's REALLY easy to do.

  • @bigdaddybrazil Gotta go into USER to record your own beats

  • The issue on the DR-202 is that the audio convertors for those RCA jacks on the back have such a poor signal to noise ratio that you have a ton of buzz n' hiss when you run it into a high end recording system.

It's fun to jam on though and they are cheap enough that if you are playing live and someone spills a beer on your gear, you can replace it easy enough.

  • Yo, I missin 2 knobs!! I dunno about this guy, but my box has been through some heavy partying. But other than that, the music is mediocre and he didnt even title his riffs..

  • Title my riffs? I'm not claiming to be great, I just made a quick demo.

  • Well, I thought it was good to see. Not everyone can impro with an incomplete instrument. Keep it up dude.

  • The 202 was and still is one of the best machines for dance music. Not to mention it has sound sets for trip-hop and such that boxes from those days just didn't have yet!

  • I love the dr 202. it's way more amazing than its successors.

  • you're missing a nob and you suck

  • I sold this on ebay and gave people an idea of how it sounded. I like this video.

  • You're so cool dude. I bet you have sold millions of records. Get a life, dumbass.

  • do you have the user manuel for the dr.202 in pdf by any chance?

  • You can get it from the Roland website in the backstage area you have to become a member for free, or go to my website e-mail me, and I'll e-mail you the pdf. Let me know when you get it.
