Haha i'm 19 and I'm rediscovering Tom cochrane! His music's so great! Ive listened to his music since I was little, and then I heard this song today on the radio (I refuse to tune into the Beat 94.5 to listen to today's shitty stuff on repeat) and blasted the music on the way to work, I couldn't help it :P tom cochrane really is underrated! Great music and fantastic voice :)
i dont ever want to know how painful it would be to lose your child like this... i think i would rather just die than go to my front door and be told your son has died in a car accident...
would have been a great hockey nightin canada theme song, without the "truck doing 70 in the wrong lane" the theme they have now sucks some major donkey balls....
@SnowbirdFlock Then why exactly are you here on this video? And can you blame him for not wanting to talk to a person that doesn't like his music or hockey?
@SnowbirdFlock Well first of all, no one gives a shit about your personal likes/dislikes and that still doesn't answer why your watching these videos.
@xXNotoriousXx31 I do watch them. You might wanna watch them too; swimming's considered the healthiest sport, and we swimmers don't get all those serious injuries that hockey players get. I love swimming!
It doesn't get anymore real that this for kids growing up in small towns across Canada. This is more than a great song, it's almost a piece of our culture.
who knows were to get this son because its not on itunes and i dont have limewire so if anyone has it or knows were to get it comment a reply please !!!!!!!!!!!
This song was made about my dad's friends son ( my dad knows Tom Cochrane) He was goiing to the NHL, but one night when he was driving a semi truck came into the lane and killed him.
"Tom Cochrane's song "Big League" is incorrectly rumoured to be about Pelawa.[4] Cochrane says the lyrics are based on a true story, but is about a different player.[6] "
this is like the best song ever cause i change it to my girl and that is me i am the captin of my team but i wake up at 7:00 and then i take shots till 8:00 so this song has inspired me sooooo much:)
Nah, there's already an official video, and even if there wasn't: most of the people I know use YT as a kind of radio, they're not interested in videos.
I'd like to do a few clips, but movies are a huge amount of work (huge).
great tune....canadian eh.

I don't like hockey or this song. Or any of their songs really. I met TC once and I got the impression that he didn't want to talk to me.

@nacholibre110 I just wanted to tell the world that not all of us Canadians like hockey. Some of us would rather swim

I was watching a hockey game with my dad tonight, and Tom Cochrane played this song in memory of Luke Bourdon. He left out this verse:
All the right moves when he turned eighteen
Scholarship and school on a big U.S. team
Out with his girl near Lake McClean
Hit a truck doing seventy in the wrong lane
To the Big League
because thats basically how Luke died. This song really hits home. Thanks for posting.
{Yes, it was a Canucks game.}

And I love how I miss spelt his first name there.
