I lived next to the BNSF Cajon Sub for 5 years and I have yet to see BNSF haul K-Line or APL containers. Those containers were always hauled by UP in the west. BNSF usually hauled and always JB Hunt, Hub Group, China Shipping, MSC, CMA-CGM, COSCO, Maeresk, Hanjin, Hyundai, Swift, Yang Ming, NYK Logistics, OOCL, Ned LLoyd and sometimes Schnieder. UP hauled everything else not mentioned.
I wasnt trying to be a stickler tho it seems i have been extremely critical on scale models but being a train gif artist i just have an eye for detail.
Intermodal is primarily referred to container service trains, and sometimes piggyback service. You could call an autorcak consist autorack, auto, or vehicle train. It's not uncommon to see container, pigs, and autoracks in an "intermodal" train.
I put a wireless camera in a dummy locomotive. The video is captured and streamed to the interent. With the help of a little software, people can see and hear while friving a locomotive on your layout. I'm looking for museum and club layouts that would like to make their layouts available for on-line contro (private or public). I have some videos of this on my own youtube.
I can't get enough of your layout! I'm jealous! :) Seriously, you do a great job in every way with your awesome layout. Keep these awesome vids coming.
Yes it's very nice, but how do you change DC layouts to DCC layouts?

Thanks for the info. I'll tell Nick that his attempt to model the Tacoma-Denver is inaccurate. Meanwhile I will change the title of this vid. Thanks!

Not a problem. If anyone is to model trains of real life, factual information is highly regarded.

Let me guess, DCC, and on the locos are on line, correct? :) Which type of DCC are you using and who makes the -44cws?
Thanks!
CSXTransportation 4 years ago
Yep Digitrax DCC system. Those locos aren't 44's, they're B40-8W's. Walthers Trainline.

Good job. That train was really flying, but the train in real life would be fairly light so I guess it makes since. Good job.

Oh ,i didn't notice the 2 axles on it.
nssd70m2 4 years ago
you mean, 4 axles. :P
mtrails 4 years ago
Is that a kato dash-9?
nssd70m2 4 years ago
No, the lead unit is a Walthers Trainline Dash 8-40BW
mtrails 4 years ago
mtrails, I think you should do a whole overview of your clubs layout, that would be great!

Been thinking about doing just that, but hope to get more scenery completed first. Have you seen the layout tour video on my channel?

Very nice vid. I'd have liked to see more from ground level, at a slower speed, to fully appreciate your models.
I'm guessing the lead loco is an Athearn, followed by two Atlas Dash 8-40B's? Walthers autoracks? Either Athearn or Intermountain stack cars? Thanks!
LoofLirpa4 4 years ago
You are goood ! Guessed it all right! I'll see what I can do about ground level, slower speeds in upcoming vids... :)
mtrails 4 years ago
Correction, the lead unit was not an Athearn, it's a Walthers Trainline. (not my train)
