I just laugh at people who say WoW is terrible or for little kids and stuff. I play WoW, I like other games too though, EQ2 is good for example. But you can't argue anything is better than WoW, the subscribers don't lie. Everyone knows WoW is the king of the MMO world. You can chose not to like it, and that's fine, but to blindly criticize it is just stupid. WoW holds over 60% of the MMO market, for good reason. And don't say it's all little kids, because most of the players are 20-40
Aion isn't awesome. It's terrible. It's a total grindfest. The UI is very clunky and very hard to learn. You'd think after over a decade of released MMOs these new companies would piggyback at least a little bit off of successfuly user interfaces. EQ2 is incredibly easy to play, as well as WoW. ( I play both, so I can compare the two effectively). The only thing I wish EQ2 had that WoW has is the ability to use third-party Addon services. Well, legally anyway.

No WoW has cartoony graphics, EQ focused on more realistic shit, also i wouldn't say it was better game play but WoW was much easier to play and understand. EQ goes more in depth and this make it harder to play/learn. But once you have the learning down you can get a real feel for your character. This is why children play wow, and adults play EQ.

Only 5% of people on WoW get to see the end-content. I stopped playing EQ in like 2003 as the 3rd best mage on the server.. it wasn't hard. EQ2's graphics are horrible - the character motion especially. Id prefer EQ over EQ2 actually. But nothing beats WOW's engine.. Blizzard has the ability to create some of the most technical boss encounters ever.
It's a matter of preference. WoW is aimed towards a larger crowd because it is more easier to pick up and catch on to, and is more appealing to anyone who sees it. But EQ (eq2 is what I play), is more serious and targets a more serious crowd. It's more in depth and harder to learn, but it is just as if not MORE rewarding than WoW. I played WoW for 3 years and it was so bland compared to EQ2, EQ2 actually feels like there is a purpose to every quest I am doing.

I downloaded the free trial for this game and it ran real laggy. Anyone know if the trial usually runs this way? I really want to get this game but not if its gonna run real laggy. Comp plays Wow perfectly but that game got old quickly.
