Look at Kyle's feats over Hal Jordan. The only reason Hal is even considered top is because the narrator has to bluntly say it. Kyle has gone through spirit crushing tragedy, took near Godlike power and used it with wisdom, which mind you when Hal got that power he threatened the world. Kyle brought back the Lantern corp, you know the one Hal slaughtered.

@sydac I dont know how old you are but if you grew up watching justice league like myself you may be used to seeing John Stewart as green lantern. I only watched justice league ( read none of the comics.) but I beleive all the other green lanterns before him have been white. Stewart is the only black lantern in the corps.
