  • whered u get the fish :P

  • @TheCaindingle Antrim? Really? I thought these eels were only in hot waters, learn something new everyday!

  • those are such pretty eels.

  • haha he gave it the finger

  • im frightened of congers, when i catch them i T-bar them in the water

  • @K0K4NE what do you mean by T-bar? i've been fishing ever since i was about 6 and have heard people mention the term before but never fully understood what it means, i've also seen videos where people refer to a "disgorger" as a T-bar but am unsure if that's correct or not, how to you T-bar?

  • @TobiLeggend hi, yea its the same thing, a disgorger shaped like a T, the top part of the T is the bit that you hold in your hand.

  • @K0K4NE ah right i get ya, thanks for that, atleast someone's not rude to not help a guy out like (y)

  • i hate to see those things.

  • Buddy try blaming dredging..not spearos

  • This was years ago nigz123. Way before dredging started.

  • youre lucky to have all your fingers :-) I feed giant morays at work and they take the food very calmly. i think i would get quite a shock if i tried feeding this dude. very bravely done :-)

  • Haha... Hillarious. I think it's what we call an Old Wife. Not sure of the scientific name of it. I have never shot a conger. Spearos are quite selective mate, I am constantly amazed when I head out for a social dive and see my dive mates let very nice eating fish head past because they only target large fish of a certain species they like most. Most spearos are very selective and have no by-catch like line fisherman n net fisherman. They are the ones you need to have a go at my friend. Thankyou

  • Did you just feed it a Boarfish? That is a disgraceful act haha... Can you let me know where she is so I can shoot her?

  • Boarfish?? Have another look at your ID books.

And I found the fish dead, probably speared by some blood-hungry, senseless, slaughtering spearo.

  • I've heard these eels can grow to enormous sizes, well over 100 pounds (and in a few cases over 200 pounds). What's the largest you've seen?

  • This one is the largest I've seen. The heaviest on record is 114.5kg according to my ID book.

  • Usually they way about 100 pounds or 50kg. They also usually only grow to be 2.5 meters as well. Thats average. Some may be much larger.
