When the series came back on Reed was still in the studio. so if anyone is WRONG it's yourself! It's established that this was the case on more than one website.

I was watching this when it went out live 20 or so yrs ago. Ch4 cut it short and replaced it with a boring old b+w documentary about coal mining. Oliver Reed, one of the finest drunks humanity has ever known.

@rob16248 1991 it was- I taped it and was horrified to see a documentary put out about coal mining in the 50's during the ad break. In reality I have read that CH4 got a phone call from someone they thought sounded like Michael Grade, who asked them to stop the nonsense, someone then went to the vaults, literally got the first tape they could find and put it on- coal mining! CH4 later worked out that it wasn't Mike Grade and put Ollie and the gang back on.....

I was channel surfing during "coal-mining" and after a while Ollie was back. Why oh why didn't I record it? I think it was because of complacency and laziness (it was late and I was probably doing my Oliver Reed impression and getting royally drunk.).
