God, bring us back some good "true-to-its-roots" country songs like Waylon's again !

Love everything Waylon ever sang and when he did it, it was always the best version of any song recorded. Have to say though with the exception of "If I Had A Clean Shirt", Willie just spoiled Waylon's recordings, never want to hear them sing together. Not to say Willie didn't have a few good recordings himself but he sure couldn't sing with Waylon.

this song highlights willie and waylons longing for some kinda love from a woman that they thought they may never find and kinda just took what they could get back when they were both wild as blue texas northers...............they finally did find true love

Dont take me the wrong way because I think Waylon & Willie are great but I think John Schneider did a better job at this song. I think he put more feeling into singing it. But Waylon and Willie are great!!
