What you are looking for is the return of the porsche's original wundercar, that is the 928. I don't know why they don't bring back the 928 in a limited run as it always was. With todays technology it wouldn't be difficult and they would bring back an iconic automobile that still has thousands of fans today (myself included).
@diezeled i had in mind if Porsche can do like what land rover did, remember the time when the land rover defender was being reproduced as a special that came with a modern v8?what if Porsche did a special where they bring out the 1990's Porsche 928 body with the new V8's common in a panamera and the cayenne, both the n/a and turbo, instead of a auto-stick transmission,by any chance reproduce a 928s4 tranny w/lsd that might handle the torque specs and hp.Just imagine it as a retro sleeper.
