I'm still a WoW player, but recently went back and played some Kotor. I fell back in love with the series and saw this trailer on reddit, and I love HK and Revan as much as the next, but somehow I feel this will ruin them. I guess WoW really lowered my expectations of returning characters and lore... Is there a trial version to TOR?

there was a really good quest were you go under cover at lvl18-20 in the beta with a clan that fallows revans path its a good play :-) you just get the quest late on the planet and your ready to go to narasshada so alot of people pass it to get to the next planet faster

I'm really glad they're talking more about the KOTOR series, Revan, etc. It just feels right that they integrate it into SWTOR. When I first saw this, though, it caught my attention immediately. As for HK-47 (The greatest assasin droid in the SW Universe, in my opinion), I'm not quite surprised as I was around a year ago with his appearance. He was in SWG after all, and that was literally thousands of years after KOTOR I and II. Hands down, AWESOME!!!!!
As kreia states in kotor 2, revan turned to the dark side out of necessity to prevent a greater evil. Personally I think revan was the greatest Jedi/sith of all time. Vader's life is a sobstory compared to revan

@ThePlatoon4, If you go to Mustafar, theres a crashed old republic ship. If you go up to it without getting killed, (Theres a lot of danger around it) You will find HK-47's body and the main computer of the ship claiming to store his brain. If you can get the brain back in the body, he will attack you in a boss fight!!

I could explain, but it is worth the time and money to go get the 2 kotor games and play through them. You may not find them in stores, but you can get them off amazon no problem. Seriously, you won't regret it.

He was the first of the Sith Lords to start the Jedi Civil War, and He is one of the most powerful Sith/Jedi of his time. His fate at the end of the game was uncertain though because in the Second game he disappeared to go off to fight the Sith Emperor

The trooper reminds me off Commander Shepard. Bio-ware just loves: Telekinesis, cover, fully voiced, taking a long time to complete, own spaceships and companions :P
@ryumancer Well, Revan did build him maybe he programmed HK to guard his tomb since he knew HK would far outlast any organic guardian, and would be very effective at detering intruders.

@Wasavirgin112 guild wars 2 is exactly that. flashy and impressive. a game thats fun for the first couple months but frankly will have little to no staying power in my opinion. SWTOR will grow on the other hand.

this video shows a LOT about the game if you have been following it: 1) multi player dialog in action 2) awesome new armor sets 3) a revan/hk-47 special reveal 4) companion characters in action with multiple classes 5) the whole thing could be a potential raid (at the very least it is a flashpoint) 6) shows how much the graphics improved 7) shows more nar shaddaa environment 8) some new player abilities (i think) 9) how npcs react in combat, how good the AI is, and mob placement.
I really hate how they don't seem to have any connections to kotor 2 only kotor 1.. I wanna know what happend after the sith triumvirate died and what the exile did and what happend to her party members.
KOTOR 2 followed KOTOR 1 and put Revan's story above Exile. Exile went to help Revan out and her companions stayed behind. We will find out about both Revan and Exile according to developers. KOTOR story was known galaxy wide and KOTOR2's story was hidden and known by a few only which is kinda lame if you ask me.
Don't worry I think we have have stories about both of them or it be big disappointment for sure.
@dubbeltid It's been said that both their stories will be finished. You'll learn what happened in the Jedi and Sith stories. Jedi Consular/ Sith Inquisitor = the Exile while Jedi Knight/Sith Warrior = Revan.
@BFtheWave I've never heard them say that finding out the Exile or Revans storys will be restricted to certain classes. Indeed such information would be so important that if Bioware did do that then alot of peopl would be pissed.
@ryumancer from what i can tell of the 6 classes i saw @ the door controls was 2 inquisitors, 1 bounty hunter, 1 sith warrior & 2 imperial agents. i also spotted a duel saber wielding sith in an inquisitor robe fighting so not sure what to make of him as thay cant use 2 sabers according to the developers.

Revan has a Mandalorian Army. He said for Canderous Ordo to await his arrival, so for the second time (since Clones are Mando's) the Mandalorians destroy the Republic. Yippy. Revan, might have killed the True Sith Emperor. Afterall, Revan is the force. You can't kill the force, Revan, like Nihilius, is un-killable to only his Apprentice the Exile. The Death of the Force.

@Chocolatemilkpassion I left HK-47 on the ship and never talked with him on my first playthrough, but once I heard how awesome he was I replayed the game and saw how hilarious and awesome he is, an example would be how he compares being in love to shooting someone with a sniper rifle from a large distance, and his explanation for this comparison actually makes sense, you should at least go on youtube and look up videos showing his dialogue in the first two games, you won't be dissapointed.

In addition to my comment about the voice actor that says "Before his rebirth, he was both Sith and Jedi", is it just me or does the voice that says "What do you mean reborn? What was Revan's final fate?" sound like the voice of Liquid Snake from the MGS series.
@ElektrikCiti Pretty sure it's the same guy. I'll agree he doesn't sound the same, but go Google "HK-47 Voice Actor" and look up a few things. Chances are the voice style just changed (if you've played both KOTOR I & II chances are you noticed HK-47's voice changed a little between those two games despite having the same Voice Actor, the same thing probably happened with SWTOR).
@GothJoe That is a good ??? I have been wondering the same thing it has to a NPC in this game but who, is it one of the Sith that are on the council are could it be the Sith Emperor he's self who knows. I want to know what is the rebirth both sith and Jedi it is a good teaser if not anything else.

@Wasavirgin112 guild wars 2 is exactly that. flashy and impressive. a game thats fun for the first couple months but frankly will have little to no staying power in my opinion. SWTOR will grow on the other hand.

I really hate how they don't seem to have any connections to kotor 2 only kotor 1.. I wanna know what happend after the sith triumvirate died and what the exile did and what happend to her party members.

KOTOR 2 followed KOTOR 1 and put Revan's story above Exile. Exile went to help Revan out and her companions stayed behind. We will find out about both Revan and Exile according to developers. KOTOR story was known galaxy wide and KOTOR2's story was hidden and known by a few only which is kinda lame if you ask me.
Don't worry I think we have have stories about both of them or it be big disappointment for sure.

@dubbeltid It's been said that both their stories will be finished. You'll learn what happened in the Jedi and Sith stories. Jedi Consular/ Sith Inquisitor = the Exile while Jedi Knight/Sith Warrior = Revan.

@BFtheWave I've never heard them say that finding out the Exile or Revans storys will be restricted to certain classes. Indeed such information would be so important that if Bioware did do that then alot of peopl would be pissed.

@ryumancer from what i can tell of the 6 classes i saw @ the door controls was 2 inquisitors, 1 bounty hunter, 1 sith warrior & 2 imperial agents. i also spotted a duel saber wielding sith in an inquisitor robe fighting so not sure what to make of him as thay cant use 2 sabers according to the developers.

@ryumancer Theres one of each class for the Empire in this video, the comment I was posting about was suggesting that only Jedi Knights/Sith Warriors would get to learn about Revan, and only Sith Inquisitors/Jedi Consulars would learn about the Exile. Which if that were the case would cause alot of rage.

@Chocolatemilkpassion I left HK-47 on the ship and never talked with him on my first playthrough, but once I heard how awesome he was I replayed the game and saw how hilarious and awesome he is, an example would be how he compares being in love to shooting someone with a sniper rifle from a large distance, and his explanation for this comparison actually makes sense, you should at least go on youtube and look up videos showing his dialogue in the first two games, you won't be dissapointed.

In addition to my comment about the voice actor that says "Before his rebirth, he was both Sith and Jedi", is it just me or does the voice that says "What do you mean reborn? What was Revan's final fate?" sound like the voice of Liquid Snake from the MGS series.

@ElektrikCiti Pretty sure it's the same guy. I'll agree he doesn't sound the same, but go Google "HK-47 Voice Actor" and look up a few things. Chances are the voice style just changed (if you've played both KOTOR I & II chances are you noticed HK-47's voice changed a little between those two games despite having the same Voice Actor, the same thing probably happened with SWTOR).

@GothJoe That is a good ??? I have been wondering the same thing it has to a NPC in this game but who, is it one of the Sith that are on the council are could it be the Sith Emperor he's self who knows. I want to know what is the rebirth both sith and Jedi it is a good teaser if not anything else.
