cool vid, i recently took a few potatoes like that and i put them in the ground in my back yard and i got tater plants growing pretty nicely and they are actually yielding taters too. the roots branch out. i was dumb and put them too close to the tomatoes...so i dug the plants out and moved them..thats how i found out that i am yielding taters.

happened to a bowl of potatoes in my garden room; I forgot all about them, so I thought, oh well, leave them there and see what happens. I got a small crop of potatoes from them - without even planting them! I just covered them with newspaper and left them alone for a few weeks :-)
