  • 0:18 wow it's cute

  • looks very innovative. if they make a sequel to this game, i'll make sure i buy it :]

  • checkout the response for this vid

  • who else thinks this and the BB backgrounds are test runs for the 3d engine for the final Guilty Gear?

  • Deathbringer, big sword, my kind of character.

  • Great game, I still prefer BlazBlue though.

BattleFantasia is designed for those starting with 2D Versus games. Easy commands and short combos (with the exception of a couple of characters).

Also has nice GFX, charismatic characters and a pretty good OST.

The downside is the lack of characters or secrets. Seems this one was dispatched too quickly.

  • Is this game like Guilty Gear where there can be a variety of set ups for combos? Not sure whether I should get this or not...

  • This was a great game. Too bad it didn't get really popular.

  • i have this game but its just ok with me. im sure part 2 is gonna be way betta. till then AKSYS impressed me with blazblue that i have now

  • AKSYS is the publisher

Arc System Works is the Developer of BF, BB, & GG; as for getting a sequel, its very improbable since the game wasnt popular enough

  • Are you retarded? BlazBlue did extremely well in Japan, and did much better than expected in America (10X the predicted sales). Maybe you should learn the facts before talking out of your ass. It makes you look like a moron.

  • sorry, I thought I remembered reading an article of games that should have sold well but didn't and that BlazBlue was on there. Maybe it was in a specific region.

    Damn you IGN!

  • BB sold around a million copies or something like that (maybe more), also, the game is one of the top 3 more popular arcade games on japan, get your facts right for the next time

  • Well, It's not my fault the article I read was poorly written.

  • if i remember well, what i read was that BB sold aproximately 1.2 million copies between ps3 & x360, in any case, games that didnt sell well considering what they expected were kofxii and tekken 6

  • Maybe I was confusing BB with KOFXII

Which is weird since both are very different.

  • @Hecatom Tekken 6 didn't sell well? I find that hard to believe being that the series has a reputation for selling well.

  • @Antiemokid5 It sold well but it was below the usual expectations that the series does. Even Namco admitted, the game did below what they wanted. The home port wasn't that good so it isn't surprising.

  • @RSXemperor I could see that. I think people are just getting sick of seeing so many Tekken games

  • Has nothing to do with people sick of seeing Tekken games. The port was half-assed. The graphics were a bit below the arcade, both players couldn't use their customs offline, online was mediocre to bad, the game was setup to force players to slog through scenario mode to get money (since it can't be earned quickly by simply playing versus matches like arcade). Scenario mode itself is a glorified Tekken Force mode, etc. Just so much lacking.

  • @Hecatom cool !!! in that case im honored to have a copy of it XD..bought it at kmart last week for 5 bucks... have not played it yet....will do!!!!

  • bad animation? arc system made this game...

  • how the hell did Deathbringer come back from that?? talk about living up to your namesake! wow

  • I like the stiffness. It makes it easier to see what exactly they are doing.

  • If you ask me, the expensive PS3 (which I own, and still have zero games for) aren't japanese oriented all that much anymore, unlike how PS2 was. I really go for the Japanese types of RPGs that the Xbox 360 has.

Maybe in Japan Xbox360 is doing better than the original Xbox. Although, there still aren't much players that fill up the Overture online play. Especially compared to what the US types slashers and shooters get. Phantasy Star Universe is doing well though.

  • Japan is actually opposite the 360 is actually the one that does not take well over there

  • Why does all the animations look stiff? Isn't this from the same creators that made Guilty Gear?

  • Yeah. ArkSys' first venture with messing with 3D, so they opted for a fighting game on a 2D plane.

  • It looks nice..but just stiff, Still gonna have to find this...

  • It's really nice, already played it, really worth the money ! if you like guilty gear, i think you'll like this game as a nice addition to your collection =) I am not an internet salesman. :P

  • Wow... how did I not know this game existed?

  • the charges make his attacks a bit stronger

  • Deathbringer reminds me of Nightmare from Soul Calibur.

  • 5th graders aren't on the catgirl tip yet.

  • like u

  • must have. please somebody brings this to US!

  • It's coming to North America don't worry. I imported it thogh. Alot of it is in english, and it'll play on your American PS3. I import alot of games, but I'm quite fluent in Japanese, so I love it!

  • Should be out on 360 now.

  • This better come to the US

  • It's already out now in the US on the Xbox 360.

  • Yeah, kinda sucks that they didn't multiplatform it because I only have a PS3, you'd figure if it's multiplatform in Japan, why not here? Oh well, maybe they'll decide to bring it to PS3 at some later date.

  • deathbringer looks sick
