Here comes my dilemma:with the Atrix,you can get a dock that functions like a real laptop=2in1.But the galaxy S2 has better hardware,so getting this requires a separated laptop. I love the phone. I've had my Atrix for a couple months now. Not only is it amazing, I'm always more than a little surprised how durable it is.

The Lapdock is unnecessary unless you've no laptop and need to type up a note for school/work. Other than that, the adapter for an HDTV is more than sufficient for media use.

They were SOOOO close to absolutely destroying the smartphone/tablet market with that laptop dock. It should be a tablet dock, with solely a HD screen and super battery running off the smartphone hardware. If the battery was strong enough it could be used to actually charge the smartphone itself too. Close guys, get on it and you will defeat the pointlessness that is the tablet!!

@bodaggin It doe's charge the phone. It's great on a business trip and most hotels. You do not have to pay the docking fee, only if you want to use it where there's no WFi, then you just use the phone and it's plan. This is like the first go-around too. The laptop market is already sliding and the PC market is way off too. Intel is developing a whole new scenario for this type of device. Dell is scrambling and HP they are too. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see this is the future.

Motorola, why would I need that Atrix dock anyway, I"m sure it can't run properly all those graphics application given it's limited 1 Ghz and 1 GB RAM except few browsing and media experience. I can do much more on my laptop and sync the phone at the same time. This expensive dock seems so dull and useless without phone itself. I'm having hard time who would use this dock and what for

iPhone 4 really isn't that great. Apple needs to step up there game and be one of the best phones on the market like it was. The next iPhone needs things like 4G LTE, WiMax, and HSPA+. A dual core 1GHz CPU (Like the iPad 2 has) If they had the 4G phone with the best battery it would put them as the top (at least in my opinion; 4G phones get a great deal of less battery life on 4G)
