  • China invented the first rockets which were powered by black powder hundreds of years ago. Robert Goddard of the United States of America invented the liquid fueled rocket and also discovered most of the basic principles of modern rocket science. Werner Von Braun of Germany took Goddard's research to new levels with his development of the V2 rocket for NAZI Germany during WWII. After WWII, Von Braun helped the USA reach the moon while the Russians, with German help, set many new space records.

  • @sameoldsameold1 Now China is becoming a leading developer of rockets once again. Isn't it amazing how things come full circle?

  • China does not need u.s. help they can do it on their own.

  • THIS IS ALL BAD!!! their gonna send people to work there!!

  • The first man to walk on the moon was an American I wonder will the first man to walk on mars is Chinese???

  • It's going to be Russian..

  • Maybe!

  • maybe a korean. because korean had created the univerise

  • Ok, there is an american flag on the moon, lol. But I'd love to see China go zooming past. Go China!

  • thefinali

I wonder if the American flag is still there. Wouldn't it be strange if it wasn't.

  • Still there? It couldn't go flying off into space now, could it?

But I guess you're talking about the whole did they really?/they didn't thing.

Honestly, someone should just get around to setting this all to rest sometime, make us all feel a lot better.

  • Oh wait, forgot something: there's always the Constellation Program up for getting to the moon, but someone else should get there first and take a look around.

  • @5yearplan1 actually due to cosmic radiation, its most likely that the American flags on the moon have either discoloured, or have literally turned to ashes and fallen into the lunar regolith.

  • the chinese have all our money except for what OPEC has . .our government and corporate America exported all of our industry to China and 3rd world countries for bigger profits..we are broke and about to go the way of the Roman Empire.. a nation falls from within..

  • Go all the way to Mars China, at least someone will!

  • Congratulations China! But be very careful, it won't be long or take much of anything before you get a "Challenger"-type accident.

  • China space rocket is right now more safe than american space shuttle, if something go wrong in a american space shuttle and is about to blow up withing 30 sec the people inside the shuttle have no choice but to die with the shuttle being blown up, whereas if the chinese rocket was to notice something went wrong and is about to blow up within 30 sec, the a escape mechanism will be activated and shoot the person out of the rocket like how a person being shoot out of a jet and landed parachute

  • blipbaii

Then what happens after they are shot out of the rocket? Are they going to float around in space until someone comes and gets them. This doesn't make any sense. But I hope that the Chinese are honest enough to let people know if they see any ufos out there. Because you know America isn't honest about that subject.

  • @5yearplan1 in an abort situation, they would be nowhere near space, let alone being trapped in orbit. Think about it.

  • @blipbaii this is true, it is the one downfall of a spaceplane. However the Launch Escape System seen here was actually used on America's first three space programmes, Mercury, Gemini and Apollo. They never had to use it.

  • GOOD FOR THEM!! Go China!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
