Insects, when unchallenged, ruin 90% of field-crops. The Irradiation of produce & the genetic modification of seeds is part & parcel of "codex alimentarius" funded by the selfsame U.N. eugenicists who manipulate stock markets, spoil for was & who promote: cultural Marxism, Earth-worship, private gun bans, fiat currency, & the nonsensical designations for their sacred American victims' groups: Native, African, gay, trans-gender, lesbian, Asian etc.
Shall! Hear you this Triton of the minnows? Mark you his absolute 'shall'? 'Shall'! O good but most unwise patricians! Why, you grave but reckless senators, have you thus given Hydra here to choose an officer, that with him peremptory 'shall,' being but the horn and noise o' the monster's, wants not spirit to say he'll turn your current in a ditch, and make your channel his? If he has power then vail your ignorance; if none, awake your dangerous lenity.
They choose their magistrate, and such a one as he, who puts his 'shall,' his popular 'shall' against a graver bench than ever frown in Greece. Though there the people had more absolute power, I say, they nourish'd disobedience, fed the ruin of the state. How shall this bisson multitude digest The senate's courtesy? Thus we debase the nature of our seats and make the rabble call our cares fears; which will in time break ope the locks o' the senate and bring in the crows to peck the eagles.
Therefore, beseech you that will be less fearful than discreet, that love the fundamental part of state more than you doubt the change on't, that prefer a noble life before a long, and wish to jump a body with a dangerous physic that's sure of death without it, at once pluck out the multitudinous tongue; let them not lick the sweet which is their poison!
Your dishonour mangles true judgment and bereaves the state of that integrity which should become it, not having the power to do the good it would, for the in which doth control it. In a rebellion, when what's not meet, but what must be, was law, then were they chosen: In a better hour, let what is meet be said it must be meet, and throw their power in the dust.
If one person goes hungry because of the bio fuel industry it would be unacceptable?? And yet Dubai is going through an orgy of palatial expansion. Give me a break.
The guest said so himself, it's changing food habits. Anyone can speculate that the evil biodiesel made from CORN doubled the price of WHEAT last year, but you need hard numbers or rather listen to smart people. I've heard more and more people talk about changing eating habits. The increase in oil did come from changing transportation habits in Asia, from the bicycle to the car. Well it's not hard conclude the same could be happening from pure rice and bread to meat today.
a looming Crises!!! the same PEOPLE who DROVE the prices of OIL are most probably the same people who Drove the Staples Up as well and putting the EXCUSE to Biofuels etc!!
without a coordinated CONSPIRACY
prices of oil and Staples CANT MOVE like they have done (SO FAST so SOON)!!!
WHY use Staples when you can use Palm oil or other non Grains like Sugarcane or Methane gas from Wastes !!! Fuelcells?? so much than Corn
BEWARE absolute GREED like this is like playin Roulette with God design !!
In the US we have more waste than any grain we could ever grow. In the city of Balitmore 60% of it energy is produced from waste. We could do this all over the country and posibly the world and kill two birds with on stone so to speak. Its clear that growing corn for fuel is having some effect on the the worlds food prices and there are alternatives that would solve two problems. But our leadership is controled by big business.
If you want to know about the other side of the issue you should read Bring on the Right Biofuels by Roger Cohen published in International Herald Tribune last week (23/04/08). Google the title to find the article.
Lula you are talking out of your ass - as soon as you are able to utilise those huge gas reserves off your coast you will be singing a different tune.
Slow-moving 'overpopulation' didn't become a critical factor in the last two years. This has arisen because of the factors cited. Overpopulation is another, albeit related, issue. This is a supply side issue, not a demand-side issue. Just like the California energy crisis in 2000: market created
There is a lot more demand for oil than there is ethanol to make a significant dent. 500,000 barrels ethanol is stuff all, in terms of oil, but significant, in terms of lost food. High cost, low benefit
No body can claim that we did not know about the food crisis coming on the Horn of Africa.
