Interesting, but I HATE my laptop's touchpad. The Kaossilator is very well priced on Amazon (bought it today for ~$108). This definitely isn't worth the hassle, IMO.

You've got pretty high resolution, pen pressure, pen tilt, two pen buttons, two tips, lots of buttons on the surface. There has to be a way to tame it into a kaoss-killer.

Hi,first of all,great idea.

However,I can't get it to work.

I connect my tocuhpad through Touchpad2Midi -> maple virtual midi cable Midi in 1.

This way i can use the touchpad as XY-pad,no problems here.

But when i connect midi channel 1 to puredata (your patch loaded) i can see the midi input from tochpad2midi in puredata but there's no output,it's mapped to midi 4,Reason can't detect it and it doesn't work.

Help?

Probably. All the software does is convert a particular position on the pad into a note trigger.

The tricky part is how we'd get the note trigger information into the gameboy. I remember seeing plans for a LSDJ or nanoloop midi interface, do you have one?

ok just tested it out and it works on my laptop but every time the notes don't stop playing after not touching pad here's a print print: note 73:velocity 0 print: note 66:velocity 87 print: note 66:velocity 0 print: note 77:velocity 87 print: note 77:velocity 0 print: note 73:velocity 87 print: note 73:velocity 0 print: note 73:velocity 87 and it goes like this while the finger is not moving

Sure! You can skip all the Ableton Live stuff, routing the MIDI data from PureData into Reason in a similar way.

I'm not sure of the exact specifics on how to set a nanopad up, but you can certainly skip all the touchpad2Midi setup. Just configure your nanopad to send:

X position on CC 19,

Y position on CC 20,
