Why would you run a 2-channel amp class A or B instead of a mono block class D or J?? I've always preferred Monoblocks over multi-channel for subwoofer amps.

@533ren335 Thanks and it was just that 1200 watt Sony 2channel, tuned with a Pioneer head unit, and a extra battrie in the trunk with a 18inch cabble so there was no power lag from long wires. I really think it was the box that helped me.

I got two jl 12" W6's and got them in a home made sub box made from jl audio specs. Got em running off of a 1000.1zx watt kicker amp which is rated at 1302 peak output. I had them for about 1 1/2 yrs and recently put them into the jl box. Yesterday i blew one odf the subs lol and i'm just pissed. for 12" subs to sound how JL W6v2's do is insane and am looking to get it replaced and see why it blew. JL said u need a 2 gauge power wire, I got a 4g. And run them at 4ohms, i got them at 1ohm.

i have a W6 12 in my car, and dude i have air fresheners also. A W6 actually makes a pretty sticky smell when you drive it hard. I know forsure im not over driving it though

haha, if it's stinky, you are doing something wrong. You're probably pushing it with a less then high quality amp that is clipping. be careful with that, you'll need a new sub soon.

try the jl1000/1 or the mtx81001 the mtx will put out a higher rms.. but.. the jl matches your brand man.. ;-)

Got to love the w6v2 10s. Yeah you need the JL Slash series amps. Cheak out my videos, I have the same subs on two 500/1v2. They hit hard, however I have my subs in seald pro boxes.

Nice box. I like the protruded port look. Ya your right time to save for a new amp. Only one more thing to say ..... JL 1000/1. Might be expensive but they are one of the best amps at controlling ported subs. Especially two 12W6's. You won't be disappointed. :-)
