But there wasn't punches or kicks there (well maybe at the start there were few), there were no target, she was just moving her arms and legs and jumping around, not fighting an enemy.
Yet, of course, considering that she is only 8 she shows a very good form and has rich potential.
She has a pretty good technique! She is still young and she still doesn't have the mass to fight with older competitors. but when she grows up, she'll be a killing machine...
True, I have done this before, it's more for entertainment than actual self defence training. Ninjitsu is the way to go if you want to be a true killing machine.

She's a pro. Congratulations. My dad was a black belt in his younger years, he tried to get me and my brother to do martial arts but we never did listen to him. Now, i regret not doing so. A solid routine and form is what mostly matters. Your daughter has a lot of discipline and that's good. I'm not a martial arts expert but my dad taught me a couple of things. Congrats!
Apologies, and no disrespect, but where are the martial arts? I am so sick of seeing the same forms over and over again. That honestly looked like a gymnastics routing with a few elbows, and kicks. People are falling away from true martial arts.
I see the martial arts in the form. It appears to be a form full of modern influence, but I see the techniques. I also see what I consider "flashier" techniques, but those also have a place in training (not that I have ever been able to or could do some of the airborne stuff). To me, any move in a form that involves some element of using your body yields benefits to a martial artist - either through improved balance, improved conditioning, improved body control, etc.

Not to be rude but you say she trains with Vhat, that is a form he did in the 1999 Black Belt Championships with a few jump changes due to youth I would assume. And (I'm sure you realize this is Sammy's Dad Answering) how many 9 yr olds do you know who make up their own (winning) form? Not to be rude, but really, why can't you just appreciate a 9 year old who can do sideswipes, fulls, cartwheel flashes & good karate technique. Really, were you doing that at 9. Not to be rude but you say she trains with Vhat, that is a form he did in the 1999 Black Belt Championships with a few jump changes due to youth I would assume. It is impressive and I do believe the comment is out of place. I stated it after watching about six or seven forms that were ALL like this one. I probably should have posted elsewhere but honestly...

I'd give anything to start Martial Arts when I was a 5... But nooo. Here I am 6'3" trying to pull off a butterfly kick into a BF twist... Very nice for being so young.
