@ninjaslovedonuts21 Well yeah it has to be hooked up to a computer. But unlike the smaller ones like the bamboo it isn't just a usb, you have to plug it to an outlet, plug a usb and another plug(Like the one you use to hook up a monitor into a desktop computer). I have mine hooked onto my laptop. You can buy it at Amazon, they sometimes have them for a $100 dollars cheaper or more.

@MyananPow yeah ohkay but when yu plug it in the laptop do you have to use the laptop? like type on the keyoard to change the color or size or the brush ?? or do you do everything on the tablet ? and when yu do buy it. can yu open it and draw right away or do yu have to download a program like paint SAI???

@ninjaslovedonuts21 The tablet basically projects what's on your monitor into it's screen, so whatever is on your laptop screen is what shows up on it. I suppose the main idea of the tablet it so it "feels" like you are drawing on paper. The tablets does have buttons on the sides that you can program key strokes onto. for example if you go to the setting and set it to "ctrl+z" when you press the button it will undo. (Cont)

@ninjaslovedonuts21 It also has these "touch strips" on the side, for example if you can set it it for zoom, brush size etc. When you stroke it up the size of the brush will increase, or zoom in ,when you stroke downwards it will decrease the brush size or zoom out. You have to set things depending on the program you're using.

@MyananPow what about paint tool sai? do i have to download it? becuase i have windows vista. and its kinda slow....but can you save it on the computer. and can yu look up the thinks yu drawn on the tabblet when its unhooked from the laptop?i want the cintiq 12 (: screens kinda small. but the 21 would take up my whole dest /:

which is better? AND DOES IT NEED INTERNET WHEN YU DRAW ON IT?!

@ninjaslovedonuts21 Everything is on your computer. The tablet only shows your computer screen so you can use the pen on it's screen. Its like a touchscreen, but with the pen instead of your finger. Yes you need a program to draw with, the tablet comes with a cd that has a drawing program you can install to your computer.

@tofu28006 because a tablet won't instantly make you better. No tablet will. Not any better than if you draw with a pencil and paper. Its about the artist, not about the tools.

I think if you really love to draw enough.. .you can become professional standard! I draw 24/7 so i got a bamboo tablet. Nothing fancy but atleast I wont be using as much paper as i do now. I think that if I keep trying by the time im a little over 20 maybe ill have my own drawing career or something. Im trying not to dream im trying to live. o____O But this... thiss is amazing i wish i culd have this!!

@ECMIM its the new cintiq 21ux 2010 model (one they only sell now for 21ux) released 40 days ago! i just ordered mines and alienware m17x r2=)
