i hate to watch that part so much but the helmet throwing afterwards always makes me laugh =) so it was a smart sequence of events, puting a subtle humorous scene after that grueling one.. great movie

The fight scene where the German soldier whispers "Shhhh" as he slowly pushes the knife into the American's chest, reminds me of a scene from a war movie I watched as a kid, in the late 70's or early 80's. I've been searching and searching but I can't find any reference to a similar scene in another movie. It was like deja vu when I first saw this scene and it's been driving me nuts. Does anybody know the older movie that I'm referring to?

@Lion85 This guy is not from the SS. German Army was called "Wehrmacht" back them. He is a Wehrmachtsoldat (Wehrmachtsoldier). The SS was the private army of Adolf Hitler himself. They got black coats.
