apparently, marijuana is good for many different conditions. marijuana is a plant, an herb, a healing substance. in other times and places, it was THE drug in the doctor's bag. since this country has an epidemic of cancer, heart disease, diabetes, mental problems, it's silly for such a helpful herb to be illegal. i don't think fire and lungs should go together, but as a flavoring agent or an essential oil, a little could be very beneficial. see "run from the cure" - a video here on youtube.

Im a little concerned when people don't want to try medicines purely based on the fact that they aren't naturally occuring compounds. The whole idea that "anything that isn't "natural" is bad for you is just so badly flawed. That said, its just as bad that we have this stupid idea of villyfying marijuana. There just isn't any good reason its illegal, especially considering alcohol and tobacco is. People really should try looking at the factual evidence more, and listen to opinions less.

I just said I support legalizing mariuana, so I have no idea why you bash on me as if I had said the opposite. Nor am I against marijuana. the only thing I care about are the tangible effects (positive, negative and side-effects) that they produce in the short and long term, and that can be tested scientifically, and I think both synthetic and natural drugs can be healthy and good to use.

Marijuana is certainly not "natural" for the human body either in that sense that our body is "supposed" to be able to make use of it. Atleast how the TNC works in our brains is by all accounts just a "happy accident", and not an evolutionary adaptation. In that sense its not very different from a synthetic drug - but again whatever works and dosn't do damage...

@JeffyPDiddy In a normal person I agree it won't, but these people have debilitating illnesses - either physical or mental. If the marijuana (or other drug) can then lessen the pain or phsychosis more than it duls your mind then the net result could indeed be that you actually become more alert, focused and capable of performing day to day tasks. Its like if you get morphine if you have a badly broken leg - the pain will cloud your mind a lot more than the morphine does even if its a sedative.
