with the air nav radar box if theres a lifeboat launch and the rescue heli is involved does it pick the helies up? please message back as im wanting to buy a airnav radar system or kinetic sbs system thanks
@RnliRescue1414 Hi most heli's dont show up on map but some are mode s equipped, this means they will show on list on left hand side of screen. The Seaking dont show at all as they are old aircraft.
Hi you pay monthly for the network data which can be 5 mins delay or live data ( two diferrent prices). I have never used the sbs so i cant really comment on it. I do use a scanner but no outside aerial as yet there will be one up soon i hope. Thanks for your comment.
OK few questions here hope you dont mind, (1) do you pay monthly fee for airnav, (2) what do you think about SBS-1. (3) do you use a scanner, were the SBS-1er has build in scanner (4) do you have an outside aerial. thank you for your help. great informative video.
Very good vid, shows just what you can get,but very expensive bit of kit.I beleve there is a 5min lag with net use for security which takes away somewhat, still great for real planespotter freeks ---like me!
Great video, would you recommend getting the airnav kit?

hey fossie...do you need a power supply for the box or does it run off the usb port? Is it possible to use it on the go without internet connection?
mauersegler79 2 years ago
Hi, It takes power from your USB and yes you can use it out and about. The network is there for aircraft which is out of range from your antenna.
