Cathy Aston was under surveillance by the security services as suspected communist sympathiser. She represented CND at communist party meetings.  She chaired meetings of Marxism Today publication. She demanded that the Falklands naval taskforce be returned to Britain British subjects be denied rescue from foreign invaders. She wanted the UK to leave NATO.
