  • tonyeokechukwu: Tiv people are living fine, they are not oppressed at all. They are naturally gentle people and very beautiful land. They dress like yorubas and have similar words hence some have yoruba marks. If u watch comedy of Jaguar (e dey there) He is a Tiv man. Tiv land are beautiful just a stone throw from Jos.

  • As far as the tribal marks, you must be thinking about the Idoma. It is an old tradition, At some point all Nigerian ethnic groups had tribal marks.

The people from the middle belt are perhaps the missing link for all Nigerians. You can find commonalities with virtually all regions there.

  • stupid comment.

  • hey, i guess you would say that as ur looking at my comment from a derogatory point of view.. bt the fact stil remains that most of the internationaly known songs of the various languages in nigeria, come from many of the other tribes in nigeria eg. the types of music you will hear in the UK, Greece, Germany, States is from tribes like yoruba, hausa, ibo mainly, that is actually what i meant, and if it will make u feel any better, i actually saved it a month ago to my favorites + playlist so :-p

  • wat u on about actually?

  • they're from the Middle Belt region of Nigeria.

  • @oronbaba .....they are from Benue state ;Tiv tribe to be precised.

  • Benue State Tiv to be precise. Watch out for the best of 9ja cultural endowment. Nigeria should find way to market her various cultures. There should nothing like MAJORITY/MINORITY. U guys are awesome.

  • @ugopat THEY ARE NIGERIANS THEY ARE WONDERFUL GUYS

  • @ugopat they are from Benue in Nigeria

  • @RockNiga The dark skinned one is from Kogi State

  • beautiful lyrics.

  • are they Tiv? what are some common female Tiv names?

  • This is a very late reply, However commom Tiv names are Dooshima, Nguveren, Doowese and Nguwasen to name a few. The problem with Tiv language is that most words and names are not spelt in the same way their pronounced which makes things a bit tricky. Its a great language and culture though, I miss it so much.

  • Nigerians love vowels. lol

  • don't know what the dance is called, but i believe Zule Zoo proudly represent the Tiv ethnic group of Nigeria. it's kinduva big deal since that particularly ethnicity tends to be overlooked quite a bit.
