  • @420chav hes good but not as good as waylon or h2

  • i love smoking pot n listening to waylon....oh hell yeah

  • i love smoking pot n listening to waylon!!! oh yeah

  • I for one think all the talented artists of Waylon's time was sent to us as a gift from God. There will be other singers to follow, but there will never be another Waylon Jennings. Rest in Peace Hoss.

  • inspiration on STEROIDS, mumma, puppa, fucker

  • I think the 1 dislike is the gardener ha.

  • GREAT SONG & VIDEO...LOVE WAYLON HE'S 1 OF A KIND & NO ONE CAN REPLACE HIM.. I MISS HIM...

  • My dad loves Waylon so much. He was super sad when he died. I play a song off of my phone or off a cd and my dad can just pick up his guitar and sing along. He knows all of his songs, even the early ones, bu this is one of his most favorite.

  • I AGREE.100 PERCENT.......D

  • I'd say that banker came home one day and found her with the Gardner and killed her. Hence the Rose resembling her..cause he probably buried her in garden , it would explain why he stares at the garden and the Rose..he finally found a way keep her all to himself. The song is beautiful and only hints at violence that I suspect happened, but in those days you had to get songs, books and movies by censors so unless-your thinking about you it don't get that he most likely killed her to keep her.

  • northwestfront dot o r g

  • hell yea they will try but they cant fii them shoes

  • God was very generous to this man. Talent was waylon

  • Beautiful job, Consman22 ! One of Waylons masterpieces. Ya done him right, sir ! Miss the man, will always love his music.

  • Waylon is my all-time favorite country singer. Unless you consider Elvis to be a country singer.

  • The one person that disliked this video better change it to a thumbs up. Nothin beats Waylon. We all miss ya bud

  • The "Hoss" is playing on the big stage in the sky...can't wait to get a ticket to his show!\

  • damn miss ole waylon

  • hes one of the best

  • Amazing! Thank you very much, wonderful video xxxxxxx

  • Whoever disliked this song better not come to Texas!!!

  • @TEXASGUNFIGHTER you think Texas has the market on talent? idiot! per capita oklahoma is the equal of texas.

  • @drg12000x are u kidding me???? oklahoma is the armpit of the planet you idiot!! u must be an ignorant oklahoman. NEVER COMPARE OKLAHOMA TO TEXAS!!! WERE YOU EVER YOUR OWN COUNTRY! NO SO SHUT IT YOU IGNORANT ASSHAT!!

  • @skumstwo did your 3 year old write this for you? what do people in texas say after sex? daddy.can i have a cigarette? jackass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it's no wonder you co**suckers are so hated. by everyone. I've been to northern mexico..i mean Texas and i would trade any of it for one good piece of crap.....but then it's so full of crap you'd know that. musta beeeen yure skoolin huh?

  • I may be a classically trained musician, but I grew up playing in southern bars...this guy will always be my hero; miss him a lot. When he died, I had my '70 tele wrapped up just like that.

  • Anyone who thinks that Chris Young is better than Waylon Jennings needs to have their head examined....I could smoke pot the rest of my life and still pick Waylon over Chris any day of the week... Recommend that you check into this website - i'm an idiot .com

  • Why argue about any Country Singer-especially ones who have past on-Waylon, Johnny Cash, Chris LeDoux...yes the list is infinite-Just try to enjoy their music! PEACE!!!

  • I SMOKE POT (actually a fuck ton of HASH) and I know that WAYLON JENNINGS IS GOD , WAYLON STANDS ALONE AND DOSENT NEED MY WORDS TO SAY NICE AND KIND THINGS ABOUT HIM , WAYLON IS A LEGEND IN AND AFTER HIS OWN TIME AND IM NOT EVEN WORTHY TO SPEAK OF HIM !

  • no matter how old we get. when ya put on a waylon tune. you get to thinking. this and i quote. damn i wish i had a cold beer. lol whoooo 80s flash back im better now. ha ha godbless.

  • who the hell disliked this?

  • ok youngsters many has written me asking me about my time with waylon. well i got the chance to shake hands with him and eat lunch one day with him and willie. i was riding the rails down in houston town and he and willie was at the astro dome playing at the rodeo that year back around 88 i believe. i walked into a taco bell of all places and these two guys was sitting there working over a couple of taco.s i took them a pair of gloves i had from union pacific and they was interested in my job .

  • boys no need to offend anyone but as stoned as i ever was waylon will always be numero uno and this by far is my favorite waylon song if you listen closely miranda lamberts white liar sounds alot like this one doesnt it listen to it now

  • Chris Young is one of the better new singers. Waylon's version is obviously better, but Chris's wasn't bad. Chris Young's voice is good for this song. I'd rather a guy like Chris Young, who is one of the new guys I consider real country cover this song than a poser like Jason Aldean cover it.

  • @outlawboy3 Don't ever take someone who has little to no talent like chris young and try and compare him to Waylon Jennings no matter what or how u try and make it chris young seem he will never even be close to what waylon doeshes not even worthy of being mentioned in the same comment as waylon

  • @sandmangeorge93 Waylon is hands down my favorite singer of all time. But, there's not many singers out there today I would rank ahead of Chris Young. Eric Church, Jamey johnson, Brantey Gilbert and maybe Justin Moore, then Chris Young. All I was saying is I would rather have somebody like Chris Young cover it than somebody who actually has no talent like Jason Aldean cover it. Stop looking for shit to complain about, and stop being so nit picky.

  • @outlawboy3 Jasson aldean? who did he blow to get his contract? He's a joke. My dog can sing better than he can and my dog can't sing for shit

  • Comment removed

  • I love this song, Waylon sings it well. But I also think that if it was gonna be covered by anyone, Chris Young did him justice.

  • Chris Young really does this song awesome...go listen to it

  • @patricksal4 When waylon sings it i know she's buried in the garden. when Chris young sings it I know she's stripping down at the dew drop in.

  • I smoke weed and love Waylon..what the hells that got to do with anything??

  • @laurastillriver No shit!!!!!!!!!!!!! am right with you

  • What a huge loss to the music industry Waylon "Classic" Jennings!!!!!!!!!!!! The odds are very much against anyone too fill his boots.

  • @evanandtre nobody will fill his shoes. Just like Johnny Cash, Waylon, Jim Reeves, Lefty Frizell.......they're gone and noboy will fill in. They'll try but there isn't anybody who can carry their luggage.

  • @drg12000x with the dumb BS that they try and pass off as country music now they will never even come close this is real country RIP Waylon

  • @drg12000x and Roy Orbinson and Don Gibson,

  • @drg12000x Many don't try to fill in, they just keep the memories alive.

  • I member drivin around in my dad's 48 willies jeep that he used to take on mudd runs...listenin to this song! :) by far the greatest song :) and im only 14 xD

  • If Mr. Eastwood couldn't or wouldn't , maybe Ron Howard . An old western banker or turn of the 20th century when bankers were learning how to rob us!

  • Can't beat this classic! Great voice and music...would make a good movie. Maybe Clint Eastwood should consider it.

  • one asswhole doesn't no what good music is!

  • This song has always fascinated me. I really think a movie should be made based on it. Who's with me?

  • @EllyMay73 I would watch that.

  • im 17 and waylon was always my favorite artist... i remember the day he died when i was in third grade.. had this song in my head and was VERY proud to see 0 dislikes :) keep on rockin to waylon RIP brother

  • Saw Waylon about 10 times over the years. Miss ya Waylon. R.I.P!!!!

  • What's sad is that true legends like Waylon should never be forgotten, while some of the crap coming out of Nashville will live forever.

  • @rhmiowa country music today is shit that's coming out of nashville, we need more of that waylong jennings music.

  • I saw Walon at what was his last show he was grea end to

  • I saw Walon at what was his last show he was greaendt to

  • I love this song

  • I love this song. I remember it since I was 3 years old. Granpa loved Waylon and I do too.

  • I am blessed to have had Waylon and his music be a huge part of the sound track of my life. Man I miss him!

  • Amazing song!

  • Damn, I miss him, his voice and wit when he was interviewed.

  • What was the time period Waylon sang? 65? 70's?

  • @RaymondBPittman 60s,70,s 80s. and 90,s

  • @RaymondBPittman .... up through the 80s. I grew up listening to his music.

  • todays so called "country" singers would burn thier guitars if they ever payed attention and listened to real outlaws.

makes me want to listen to old rock, country and blues all the time, Wait a minute, I do that now.

  • @borderlineagain Right on Man

  • there.s not a day that goes by that i dont miss ole waylon and johnny. it just doesnt seem the same without listening to their latest hits on the radio stations. we all have to go some time. i guess thats how are heros become legends in life. take care and godbless the jennings family.

  • chris young and willie's is way better

  • @Jsmoka9 YOU MUST BE SMOKING POT, THERE IS NO WAY THAT ANYONE IS BETTER THAN WAYLON.

  • WAHAT?

  • @lwalker65

who cares if he smoking or not, bar none Waylon is the best ever. he was the very first to cut a record that went platinum. Now run tell that.

  • @phatboy812 Waylon is the best ever, I have loved waylon since 1972. I really don't understand why you have your drawers in a wad. Everything that waylon did was great. There is no one better than Waylon Jennings.

  • @lwalker65 agreed bro.

  • @lwalker65 why yes. yes I am smoking pot. and this song is great.

  • @lwalker65 if you like waylon you obviously smoke pot ;P everyone does :)

  • @wowfreak1111 i can't smoke pot because of my job drug testing but i sure as hell can sit downwind of my girl who does.

  • @Jsmoka9

I agree with the other poster. You must be smoking pot man. I listened to the Chris Young version. Chris Young isn't in the same class to pack Waylon's guitar. Your prob. one of these young kids who think this start up country music singers who can't write their own songs, but have to try and re-release classics, just hoping they will get a fraction of the status as legends like Waylon.

  • My Favorite Waylon Song for sure.

  • One of my many Waylon favorites~~~and fabulous pictures! Beautiful tribute to a beautiful man~~~may he R.I.P.

  • We all grew up on the plateau with the Waylon driving 1470's cutting 60 bushel wheat. From Waterville Wa.

  • one of my all time favorites

  • one of my all tim favorites

  • thats a great song!!!!!!!!

  • I used to listen to this song on a little am radio I had....I suppose everyone has an opinion, but I will say Waylon was the greatest singer/songwriter ever. His songs have lyrics, not just chorus like we hear today....and the songs had meaning and depth.

  • @alphadogg1074 i understand youre point clearly. and totally agree but i have to laugh when you said a m radio because i said it one day on here and i got letters from kids asking me what that was? lol thanks that made my day. im glad im not the only old skooler on here. godbless.

  • i agree chris young did a great job with Willie remaking this song but no body does it like Waylon did.

  • Chris Young did an OUTSTANDING version of this song on his latest album "The Man I Want to Be" check it out!

  • i dont know this 'chris', the only man that ever did this, and the only one that ever could sound good was ;Waylon'. he is the only ever that could do it , and did. It's a Waylon original and no one ever can take that away. rip wj.

  • well Chris Young is up for ACM top new male artist this year and his version, he duets with Willie Nelson...no disrespect intended..in fact it is one of my favorite songs on the album...

  • spencer barns dizzy fingers

  • waylon is my hero

  • @7kentuckyboy I hate to tell you but hes dead.

  • the man this song makes me smile..........

  • jealosy is for teenagers in highschool. as adults you cant be that way and make it work. you cant stop a man or woman if they are going to cheat. they will find a way. trust is what marriage and relationships about. without it you might as well piss in the wind. it wont work.

  • hey tommyboy tell george strait i said hi when ya see him again,. see ya later buddy.

  • @39tommyboy I used to get drunk and mistakenly Pissed in the wind a time or two.

  • @39tommyboy Im jealous of Ni**ers cause they all get the hot women these days.Shoot em.

  • @walleyrt69 wtf does that have to do w/Waylon???

Maybe you should work on your attitudes and character AND then you may find a HOT woman. Oh btw looks are only skin deep, it's what is on the inside that REALLY counts. BEST OF LUCK I THINK UR GONNA NEED A PILE OF IT!!!

  • @39tommyboy interesting perspective

  • Comment removed

  • Cheating is like playing with a loaded pistol. You need to ask yourself one question. Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya punk?

  • @39tommyboy If the person really loves you, they wouldn't take such chances. Then again, you can't be jealous of anything you don't love.

  • @rebecca807 well spoken friend. i lost my first love when i was 18 working for the rail road and coming home for my fathers funeral she was killed in a car accident. im married with grandchildren now but i still think about my rose from time to time. godbless.

  • Paradise became her prison.... I know that feeling.

  • I thought he was a bass player in the crickets.( hello, littlefield, texas)The biggest, hoorah for littlefield was many years ago, along with anton,tx.

  • Comment removed

  • The Crickets were Buddy Holly's Band's name. They regrouped years later without Waylon. But they didnt do any good and went their separate ways.

  • thanks for the history lesson...weylon jennings is awesome...when my dad was alive he used to walk around singing rose in paradise and he was pretty good too

  • he said once that he used to do over $1500. a day in cocaine!! he said they recorded better songs on it !! ha ha i bet he was up for days. god how i miss him and his ole stories he used to tell. this is one of the best songs i think. he really shows off his voice in this one. he had that rugged but smooth voice. just like whiskey going down. smooth but it will bite youre ass when youre not looking. god i miss drinking to. a bottle of whiskey and a waylon tape nothing better. add a ole ford truck

  • im 16 and did my research paper on him in highschool, the daily drug habit he had $1500 daily on cocaigne is what lead to his diabetes which eventually got his foot amputated about a year or so before he was laid to rest

  • if thats all you learned about waylon then you need to study harder. like he changed country music the way it was in the 70s he went back in later years and got his ged from school. his biggest hits. little things like that instead of the habits. a wise old man once told me judge a man by the way he treats you not his habits.

  • thats not even close to all ive learned about the legend himself, i got an A on that paper, do you think i got it by putting that about his habits on there? nope haha

  • Comment removed

  • thats alright, apology accepted, i wish i was around to at least see him in concert, all i can do now is dream, my grandma met him when my grandpa helped fix jim ed browns bus, my grandpa was a diesel mechanic, my grandma and grandpa sat and had a few beers with Waylon

  • That is right tommyboy. Waylon is the MAN!

  • whats up ladyred???? god bless. have a great day friend.

  • Hey there tommyboy! If you are anything like Waylon we need to get together.

  • Comment removed

  • hey ladyred feels like a waylon jennings song today. lol when all is bad i always put on waylon. i remember that one time i walked into a restaraunt in houston town back in 88 and waylon and willie was there eating lunch. they were in town doing a show at
