didnt comic is from the 50's and the spirit wears a purple suite and yellow tie its done like every other 50's comic they made it like sincity to attracted viewers
I didn't say it's gonna be great, but still looking forward to seeing what they do with it. It would be really hard to live up to the first one when Mickey Rourke and Bruce Willis are both absent from next one.
This movie was awful. The characters were not developed will and cliche. The dialog was terrible. In the end me and the people I went to see this with walked out one hour into the film.
Fair enough Clock, I have never walked out of a film based solely on how much i have studied them and actually worked on them and feel I owe it to the filmmakers to stay at least long enough to watch it all. My reviews will hopefully always have at least something positive to say about a movie just based on that. Thanks for the comment!
Big time actors like SaM L jackson ruins comic book movies for me . I never can see the character as the character , i just see so and so playing so and so lol. Thats why i didnt like ghost rider .
I can def see your point, and I feel the performance is thus needed to be that much better to distract the audience. Mark Wahlberg was guilty of this in Max Payne and being such a character driven plot, it failed miserably. Good point!
Personally, I thought The Spirit was disapointing, especially if you liked Sin City. It's almost dificult to believe it was made by Frank Miller.

If I want to see a campy, goofy movie, I'll go see Adam Sandler in...um, no I won't. :)

I'd say The Spirit is a definite throwback to the old pulp fiction stories from the 50's and 60's and this movie was probably for the fans.

Good review. Still got to see this one. Bedtime Stories, I think you will enjoy, Sandler is classic :)
I disagree with you on Sin City 2, I don't think it will be able to live up to #1.

Yeah, cuz Bruce and Jessica Alba had a major part in the first one. Mickey Rourke, he was in that? lol, I never noticed :)
