I don't suppose you'd be able to tell me how you got the resolution to increase? Popres does not appear to work for me, it claims to have patched the game, but when I run it, it still limits at 800x600.
I can't play it on my Win7 64 bit system. installed all patches and things, but it just do not work yet. Can you help me. It would be very kind of you ;-)
@HDbacon Well, I did both and a virtual PC really helps, but I would like to play it in D3D-version and a virtual PC does not support it. compatibilitymode does not work at all.
@Dracondra okay what program do you use to make virtual pcs? VMware workstation is the go it never use to but seeing my PC HDD has been wiped recently the pcs been alot better xD anyways my reason for that is it installs virtual gfx drivers that work with most old games such as this one (if it would record right id upload some gameplay of NBA Live 2000) plus i also play Messiah which is a 2000 game and D3D works on it so i can send you a link to the program if you'd like to (comes with serial)?

@HDbacon Thanks for the reply. I'm going to buy it from Amazon and it may work. Someone I know just bought one off Amazon and he said it didn't work at first but the wizard program on microsoft windows 7 got it working. I'll be back on if it doesn't work. I appreciate your help. I'll see if I can get it working first. Thanks again
@HDbacon: follow-up For $22 i got an excellent condition used Pop. It took about a week to arrive. I froze up on windows 7 but it works on my XP. I don't know why or if that would be the same result for others but it works on my XP better than it did on windows 98 way back when... Now I'm hooked...
@FrapsChannel never played myth but if myth is more or less a tiny bit like Age of Empires just different umm..."times"? i guess you could say then yeah it is a bit like it only do dont need to go collect anything to do anything long as theres trees the braves will cut them down for you and the more houses you have the more mana you get to use spells
it can run on Win7 64bit? seriously? It couldn't work with WinXP but Win7? I'm gonna check it out!

@Dracondra hmm have you tried running it under say Windows 95/98/ME? also i think a virtual PC would/could work this game

Very beautyful game, played it many times and I still love it. Unfortunately I can't play it anymore on my laptop, because it has windows 7.
