@atragicvillain the casio has its own built-in delay. everything you hear is coming out the speaker; the cable that can be seen is just power. I made this video to show off how a little toy like this can actually stand up on its own, musically.
i just bought one on ebay but it hasnt come yet, is that a preset sound or did u make it and also how, the original one i mean, not the one u made after editing with decay on a loop effect etc!
I used to have one of those. I got it for christmas from Santa Claus lol. My father woke me up really early in the morning playing it. This was the same year we got Indiana Jones and the temple of Doom for the...Commodore64?
I wish I still had that synth today. Those were the days.
I'm active in the Campus Antiwar Network, and at a regional conference in NYC this past winter, one of the branches-- I think it was Rutgers?-- was selling them for fund-raising.

I love my SK5 and I've had it since I was a kid. Try sampling your finger snaps in a quiet room and loop them. you have an interesting tone.

It is a sampled sound, not a preset. It came from a reed organ. Hope you enjoy your new SK!!

Cool! It sounded a little like "Urgent" by Foreigner in the beginning.

I burned mine out - didn't last 3 months.
But is a cool board. I got around 20 or so recordings out of it before it went to keyboard valhala

Nice sounds the old keyboards!!!!!Are a collector of that?
LuxX63 3 years ago
yes, i am a hopeless collector of these old Casios, though this one stand alone as my only (working) SK.
I also have an SA-35, SA-20, Pt-87, Pt-1, Mt-205, and TWO (don't ask) Mt-520s, in addition to two yamaha PSS series keyboards.
Maybe I'll post some more video demos like this when i get the chance . . .

Very nice! I'm getting more and more interested in obtaining an old Casio keyboard.
