  • i did this fo r my pts, but it not helfull for all si injuries, its usefull fa lateral facet injuries at si region

  • to eliminate or independently manage their pain with lifestyle changes including posture, new movement strategies, etc. Chiropractors are great, they offer a lot of relief to many patients, I am very supportive of their practice but there are many methods of achieving healing with conservative management. I was trained as a physical therapist and it is my opinion that our training as biomechanical specialists, exercise scientists and manual therapists, we are leaders in low back pain management.

  • It is different from a chiropractor because the manipulation is only one part of the plan of care for the patient. It could include supportive exercises, nerve glides, etc. This was an exaggeration of a hypothetical patient. Chiropractics also has a different underlying philosophy that if the spine is malaligned wellness is not comprehensively achieved, this means that the patient must visit the chiropractor indefinitely to be adjusted. Physical therapists primary goal is for their patients...

  • I totally agree with you on this. I have seen many chiro, many times for an si joint injury and it never got fixed permanently. I would feel good for a day a two after a treatment with a chiro. Who has the money, the will or time to go see a chiro multipe times a week?? Everything changed when I started seeing an advanced manual therapist (PT).

  • I'm so glad you agree and even happier that you have been healed from your SI joint injury! Thanks for the comment!

  • so you never said how this was different from a chiropractor.
