  • It's such an utter travesty that Tonya's life took the turn that it did - cause really, a US lady with that kind of power, edge control, jumping ability, and the audacity to skate to "People Are Still Having Sex" ....well, someone like that just doesn't come along every day.

  • It is interesting that I remind of Tonya's performance more than Nancy after 20 years.

Figure skating is thought as political sports, but these video show us how talented athlete she was even though Jude or media disliked her.

  • She was so much cuter back then..

  • I LOVE this music!!!!!

  • that 3axel combo is deleriously GOOD --- tonya was one of kind

  • Ms. Harding is a JUMPER!

  • Tonya, I doubt you watch this but you should know...many of us love you. I know we will never see you skate again, but I hope you do....for yourself if no one else. You an amazing athlete, and you are missed.

  • @aelred123 I love how she skated INTO the ice, whereas Yama and the others sort of glided...Tonya would dig her blades into the ice!

  • Does anyone happen to know the name of this song?

    It is much appreciated,

    --AL

  • @alebeau4106 The music is "People are Still Having Sex" by Bill LaTour. Good dance music!

  • I love this music and program. It's amazing to think that if she had skated like this in Albertville (Sp and Free) she'd most likely be olympic champ. She really had so much talent! And I loved her choreography too.

  • @mlc2005 The problem with the music is that it is titled "People Are Still Having Sex" by LaTour, which one can't exactly print in a program. Shame because it certainly suited her style of skating perfectly and highlights how incredibly powerful her spins were.

  • @mqjahnke Well she did do a sex tape that same year....LMAO

  • I think Tonya wil get more respect on her athletic ability as time goes by.

  • @HattieLovesCattie I do too. She was an incredible athlete. Natural talent, she didn't even train as hard as the others...imagine if she HAD!

  • @hilljayne Amen, same with Chris Bowman.I met him in LA years ago,he was so nice.He and Tonya had that natural talent and didn't train hard enough.

  • I was a little kid when the whole kerrigan harding thing went down. so I sort of grew up with the distorted thinking that tonya wasn't that good and was just sore big headed perfectionist. but now, being older, when i go and looked up her past performances...WOW. this girl was a gold medal skater. she is incredible. some of the best skating i've ever seen and i've seen olympic performers live ( including nancy kerrigan) at champions on ice. she could've won gold if she'd shown better behavior.

  • isnt this the same music Daniella Silivas used in 88?

  • No, it starts out similar, but it is different music

  • whats embarrasing???? She is the best skater of all time... Look how high and how far her jumps are.. The other girls look like they are just spinning on the ice when they do jumps

  • It's not just the jumps. Tonya was a great spinner, had great speed, and edges. People slag on her choreo, but I think it worked for her. She had it all. Even without the 3 axle, she was still the best. Big shame she never realized her potential.

  • omg how embarrasing ppp

  • I love her layback spins.

  • wow she is the first woman skater landing 3A-2T in SP. i do not know why Japan says Mao Asada is the first.

  • Because you can't even mention her name anymore.

  • shes the first to do 2 triples axels in competition not that combination

  • @cesare0561 Nothing new,the Japanese like to cover up the real facts.

  • @cesare0561 I believe Mao was at a world or olympic competition.

  • @cesare0561: I think they say Mao Asada was the first to land a triple axle combo at the Olympics.

  • Tonya was always inconsistent, but 1991 was probably her most successful year.

  • @frostdiamond1 1991 was the only year during which she landed the 3A in competition (4 times total I think was the figure if I recall). She declined afterwards because of a lot of factors, from injury to lack of training.

  • @mqjahnke Oh, yes, I realize that, and I'm sure that contributed to why it was her most successful year, like I said.
