hey mate! you provide the code works well on tt2000 anti skate when you first purchased it and regulate? I have a gemini tt1000, and something we did not work, and when we scratch the tone shifts arm.zaboravio I must say that using a needle?
These turntables are pure shite I was foolish enough to buy one of these, I was expecting a lot more, it's the worst DJ Turntable I've bought & used, cheap and nasty is an under statement, the platter wobbles no matter how central you try an get it and because of the play, scratching with out the needle jumping off is impossible even on the heaviest weight and it sound terrible and I bought mine new, never again am I buying a new age turntable because they don't make them like they used to.
@RedPanther1 The best ones are 1.- The Stanton T.92 usb and 2.- The Numark TTX USB.
The Numark has more torque, but when it comes down to it, the Stanton really beats it, and for way less money.
The Stanton has the same tech specs as the Tech 1200, and is built like a tank, the Numark has very good tech specs, but they are not know for the quality (yet the TTX is high end so it should really last).
@RedPanther1 Oh BTW, the Numark model i told you is higher end than the stanton, so in terms of specs it would be better, but my personal preference is not so much torque, i guess i have old habits. either way you go you wont be disappointed.
Ive read other responses and i am a beginner dj i was looking at getting this set. my origianl thought was to get cdj's but i was put in my place about that. i need to learn the "art of dj'ing" before i can advance. that means i have cd's and laptop so my question is are these tt convertable for usb serato and virtual dj???
@djBLiiR the M4 (as mentioned on the annotations) is good for its purpose, although if you're doing some serious scratching i would suggest using a mixer with a loose crossfader; the fader on this one has a bit of resistance when you slide it back and forth. but in all, its not a bad mixer, i'd recommend it if you're a starting DJ.
are these turntables good for people who want to learn Djing and get serious into them? everyone makes em sound like crap so is it better just to get something more expensive
@onesixlovee these are good for folks who are starting out for the time being, but they are not good for very-very serious DJ'ing like scratching and very tight mixing; so you would step up from these once you have the funding for them. i would suggest use these until you've learned all the basics then step up to more advanced equipment.
I had some gemini pt 2000ii decks but got rid of them a few years back when i quit dj'n. I found them okay for mixing and scratching. Looking to get some more decks and thought about these. Anyone know if they're better or worse than pt2000ii turntables? Oh yeah there is one good use for the reverse button. When finishing a mix on a breakdown i sometimes would use the reverse button then turn off the deck so it went backwards an stopped slowly, sounded pretty good. Cheers
Why would you get these "toys" in the first place? Gemini's makes some pretty bad garbage. Only decent deck they ever made was the pt-2400t, and that was pretty junk....You should return those and get some 1200's.
i've got these decks i've had them about a month and have noticed that when you go into minus on the pitch it speeds up before slowing down. do you find the same thing?
@karloskamargo come to think of it...yes i do see that when have it hooked to Virtual DJ and i have the pitch sensor turned on...and i noticed the pitch increases when i go into the minus position for a centimeter ur 2...then i slows down; thats why i recently retired them when i got a set of Numark TT200's
I got a pair of Gemini TT2000 about two months ago.... the torque sux, I use 2 wax papper with the slipmat and the pitch fader in both are working like crazy....
These aren't so bad to learn on but I would not recommend them to any experienced DJ. I've learned that with the right combination of "butter rugs" "flying carpets" and slip mats the torque problem can be overcome. You still need a soft touch but I'm actually starting to scratch on these decks very well. I figure if I can practice enough to sound good on Cheap Decks, when I upgrade things will sound that much better . Hope this helps, Oh I would recommend buying Numark TT-500 over these decks
I have a set of these as well. They really do have poor torque. I noticed the "cheapness" of the tables the second I unpacked them. The needles they come with are poor as well as far as scratching is concerned. Despite these downsides, I kept mine. I started DJing only a few months ago and these decks were my first purchase, as for me I relate it to any other instrument. E.G. when learning to play guitar one usually purchases a beginner brand rather than a thousand dollar model.
Damn..:)..well..rly i m not a scratch dj,just pure mixing but since i m on a budget like most of the ppl,for a half of a price for these i could afford two beltdrives do do exact same thing..:))..lol..like i susspected..second hand technics beat any new budget price range decks any time no matter how old they are or in which condition as long they spinn..think about it when u sell these and go for a better ones..:)..cheers..:)
I m having rly hard time to believe in what i saw on this vid..this looks like big time shit, and i doub't Gemini would make such crap as a direct drive turntable..so i m asking..r u sure u got TT2000..coz those woooosss and weeeesss on going-stoping record sounds like u r messing up with start-stop adjustments not knowing what is it for,or more like u have got ur self a belt drive..coz this is how belt drive decks sounds..!?
yes these are the TT2000 and yes these decks are direct drive (i should have taken the platters off to prove this, but didnt); and as for the stopping of the record, thats part of my test of the controls and platter torque (which isnt but so-so great from what i found out during this test)
going digital has its advantages, such as not hawling a bunch of records (which are heavy)
but i might hold on to using vinyl turntables but just use a digital interface with it (like serato or virtual DJ) <--which i plan on using once my MAYA44 USB comes to me in a few days.

@RedPanther1 Technics 1200 (or 1210) any mk (the mk2 are pretty cheap).

@JuniorJack69 you can scratch but it wont be perfect, i would suggest doing a mixset with these though.
