Piano tuners who like myself tune for the major studios should go on strike!
It's because we NEVER get our names listed on the end credits. And we DO perform an invaluable service(think of the countless films where piano music is in the film score or even right in the movie itself like "The Pianist.").
We should start demanding a portion of the profits(say, for instance, $1 per each string tuned)whenever the tuned piano appears in a movie scene. Now isn't that a modest "demand?"

How easy it is to be replaced..ripped up contracts, start fresh..JUST IMAGINE so many post secondary graduates with a useless English Degree hoping for work...JUST IMAGINE how life would be without TV, without internet, without Iphones or Crackberrys ahhhh what a life.....Why is it that poeple always feel that they are owed something? JUST IMAGINE!
Um... its obviously not that easy to find great writers. Remember the dry spell TV sitcoms went through after seinfeld, friends and frazier ended (and those sucked for its final couple years)
I completely agree. I hate reality shows. It seems to me like the dumbing down of television audiences. There are writers out there that create some beautiful, complex, and dramatic material. I think they deserve to get paid for their work. If the studios feel that reality shows will fill the void, I can crack open a good book instead.
