@flynnpin For starters a bug out bag can be used for many things, and this video is showing my layered system of being prepared, for everyday use, not just for EMPs
@beast12101 Have you ever heard of a gps locator called a "BUG". An EMP kills all electronics, anything with a chip. After an attack the bugs will go out. BUG = chips or electronics, and OUT = disabled or fried. But good try buddy.
"Wet wipes" brand wipes are ok for use on skin. The PDI brand wipe you show is only for surfaces. It is not safe to use on skin. We use them at the hospital I work at and are only allowed to use them when we are wearing gloves to clean equipment, etc.
@Charles2337 thats not an ipod shuffle, it is a different kind of MP3 that is a rip off, but works just the same. Probably doesn't use his phone for music to save battery
You Have Produced An Excellent Series Of Videos,They Are Both Educational And Enjoyable To Watch.I Look Forward To Seeing All Of Them.Thank You For Sharing And Including Your Beautiful Dog In Your Video Series.
I also suggest you put a list of your stuff in the more section, including brand names, so viewers can check it out. We don't always speak clearly on videos :)
I was going to suggest you keep a printed backup of all your contacts and calendar that your phone holds, in case of EMP or impact damage; however, if EMP occurs, we will have more to worry about than where our noon lunch appt will be. Still, good to keep paper backups of all digital data with you at all times.
Good vid man, generally like your vid's, very useful.
note about the sanitizing wipes, I strongly research natural health related information. I know from several credible and unrelated sources, that body (kinda obviously) secretes natural protective layers of moisture, that protect the body from taking in germs. And it has proven that thing's like these (including harsh soaps) demolish this protective moisture. So it is generally more dangerous to do it so regularly.
Agreed, but I will clean my digits before eating, or I wind up putting everything in my stomach. And since we all touch our face, etc. without intention, I would rather err on the side of caution when out and about. At home, where only you has touched stuff, then yes, it is better to leave your skin alone.
Good point to go with survival. Disinfect every time you handle money or touch public handles. I carry an alcohol based lotion in my truck and use it often.
was just wondering, does anyone know a guide on how to make a temporary home once you already bugged out and how to acquire and harness natural resources (and electricity)?
@LordEyli per your comment A good way to get electricity is to collect car batteries from vehicles left behind out of gas, collect the solar panels off the highway signs found in most states for the lights, daisy chain the batteries and connect to solar panels. Use a power inverter for cars to convert the 12volt DC current to AC current. Free power for minor use/work.

Great video! Got some new ideas now. I have to get one of these crowbars. The one I have right now is way too big to carry around.

you should use a pair of hemostats for pulling fish bones, works better than anything else i've tried.

i would recommend using a ranger band for the platypus, it wont leave any sticky crap behind and it will work even when wet

I'll be getting to that with shelters, for power the most reliable would be solar.

Cool. Thanks.
@beast12101 If it's not a rat3, could you please confirm. Love the footprint on that knife and it seems great to carry in bag.
