How to ride a unicycle: Free mounting

I prefer the 6:00 freemount. Since my dominant foot is on the 6:00 pedal, the cycle's less likely to roll out from under me. I'm still learning by the way but 6:00 feels right to me.

You video is great, but i still can't free mount! It blows my mind! You have one foot on the pedals and one foot off, but the wheel doesn't roll underneath you when you put your weight on the seat! The pedal always pushes to the bottom when I try. Am i doing something wrong?

@MegaW4 lol...keep the foot thats on the pedal ....keep it within the 3 and 6 oclock position when you are hopping on the seat. if your foot on the pedal doesnt go very far in rotation the unicycle wont go anywhere. find center from when you first put your foot on the pedal until when you are ready to get off. dont trust you foot to be able to step all the way down on the pedal, there must be a "petting" of the foot on the pedal. no need to thrust your foot when hopping on. ;).

@SmithScapegoat its like when you first start playing the guitar or when you first ride roller skates, the more you suffer through the pain and discomfort of the constant friction, your body will allow the soft skin to harden and you will not have to worry about that anymore.
