I would really like it if some one could put up a link to the sheet music for both the flute and the guitar. This is beautiful. I'd really like to learn how to play it!
Cool. Makes me wish I could have played the flute more... and actually practiced. But its too hard for me to hear all those high notes. I have hearing aids so those high notes are tough. He plays wonderful and with grace. Very clear and tone I wish I could have
gotta love Ian Anderson! I play flute and he is about one of the only other flute players that still amazes me. Anyone know where i can find sheet music for this? ...hehe....btw....he looks like a pirate! LOL!
haha, Ian Anderson loks so tough dressed like that, ang he plays the flute awsome, i think thant is the kind of things that make people think better about clishes
@vegforlife555. God, your comment is ridiculous. This is a lovely and emotive interpretation of a piece that is covered over and over because of its accessibility and adaptability. If you don't like this interpretation, simple, don't listen to it. Ian Anderson is an extraordinary musician.
And yes I am a musician, and while there are some songs out there that I just plain don't like I appreciate the fact that someone else liked them enough to play them and play them with passion. Except for commercial crap that is just made because some fat cat thinks that someone else will like it, no one is actually passionate about those songs, they just fall off the end of the conveyorbelt!
Listen to and view the passion in the flute and his face. Then go hang yourself (don't really).
Music is about interpretation, Fauré Pavane is a wonderful piece and this is a great interpretation of it in my opinion, I love the flute, I think that is played really well and the other instruments accompany it really well.
So... basically, if you don't like it, don't listen to it you retard!
Btw I don't usually comment, I just saw your ignorant comment and just had to. Idiots make me angry.

Pavane's great composition is being butchered. If YouTube has any feelings for the preservation of musical culture they would remove this video immediately.
Oh, is that so? Do you think they should remove Bourèe as well? If YouTube should remove something, it should be your channel, not this great version of Pavane.
And, I think YouTube has feelings for preservation of musical culture, a lot of the really good music is here, like Jethro Tull, Camel, Procol Harum, Kansas and Focus.
Anderson gets the Zamfir Award for Kitsch. Total Merde.
Check out Hubert Laws; he knew how to take it to a new place in his Jazz arrangement. This is just a cheap version about as classy as a run down trailer park.
You should hear him play the blues harp!
