Right now, a better alternative for Linka would be Anya Monzikova (born in 1984 in Volodga, Russia.) She's had bit parts in movies such as Iron Man 2, Surrogates and Tropic Thunder, and has been in a lot of TV episodes. I feel this Captain Planet movie would be a huge break for her if she was serious about being an actress.

The only thing with Scarlett Johanson, the two Emmas (Stone and Roberts) and Blake Lively is they would have to hire a really good voice coach to teach the actress how to speak in a Russian accent. And that would be hard... nothing like teaching Reese Witherspoon how to speak like a Brit.

Go to the Advanced Name Search at the Internet Movie Database, and type in Russia and USSR in the Birthplace line, and click on Female... I'm sure you can find some credible alternatives.

Sean William Scott for one would make an excellent Wheeler, I've seen him in several movies, and the charries he's played, he fits the profile nicely, dye the hair red, clean shave, decent make up, and you got a Wheeler the Pyro Planeteer. I personally would cast Dwane "The Rock" Johnson as Commander Clash, he's played soldiers and looks the part, he even has a voice similar enough, little training needed.

I liked about the cast suggestions even nice villain suggestions for first film seem fitting... Perhaps to add taste for sequel they could someway foreshadow too the upcoming film's villains. Would seem nice that way! Perhaps three films with different villains and then fourth with all villains united, like in Mission to Save the Earth, managing to create their own counterpart for Captain Planet perhaps... Or maybe it might suck... Who knows?

none of the voices in this cartoon series were teenagers they were all adult voices or under 13 years old.Alot of the veteran VO actors had the unique talent of changing their voice at random depending on what the role called for it took years for them to perfect that talent. The late Mel Blanc is a good example of this he did almost all of the male Loony toons characters himself for the most while working for warner brothers.He could change the pitch of his voice from higher or lower.

I think Ed Norton would be the perfect choice for Captain Planet.

As for the villians: Dr. Blight, my first choice would be Meg Ryan(who's also Dr. Blight's voice actor), she resembles her, my second choice would be Michelle Pfieffer. As for Skum, I'd also pick his first voice actor, Jeff Goldblum because he resembles Skum and gave Skum the most sinister voice. I don't know who'd play Duke Nukem, but the perfect actor to play Nukem's assistant, Lead Suit would be Rick Moranis.

The Planeteer actors are all a little old, but I guess it could be set some years after the series when they're all in their early to mid twenties. The guy for Plunder looks great.
