The Theremin was the funnest part of the sci-fi movies from the fifties! I love those old corny movies!! Some of them were not so corny though..some were classics like "The Day The Earth Stood Still" (1951), "The Incredible Shrinking Man" (1957) and "War Of The Worlds" (1953). And there are many, many more!!
I remember, it was a great difficulty in the past to get this sound.
By imitating a trumpet with my own voice I recorded my voice (tone "c1")on my ENSONIQ (Sampler) with a dynamic microphone, and then edited the sound with the keyboard. I used a very large portamento-effect and detuned the ground-tones -out of standard tuning- a little "higher". So, the sound was "designed".
Many thanks to you, my dear Thomas! Glad you're being here BTW.
The sample-sound is created (developed) by myself---with my own voice (sample of my own voice)!!! I have invested a lot of time to create this Theremin-sample.
You cannot buy this sound in any sample-library to the ENSONIQ-ASR 10, AKAI- or EMU- or Roland-Sampling Keyboards. Once again, many many thanks you're being here on "my" channel, Thomas!

Sounds VERY close to a real theremin. Obviously, without all the same dynamics. Very cool though!
