Jeff the Brotherhood is a rock band that just wants to play and have fun doing it. Simple as that.

Nylon came to Nashville because of the aesthetic that's been forming there. The garage rock scene in Nashville IS isolated from the mainstream scene and it's getting noticed on a worldwide scale for the first time since Be Your Own Pet. Copying Kings of Leon? Are you deaf? No one in Nashville is calling magazines begging for interviews, it's coming because DIY rock bands deserve some attention.

What I think he is saying, is that it's different and isolated in a way, where it's easy for them to come up with their own sound, rather then leaning on others sound and being inspired by others. They are able to use this isolation from "mainstream scene" to create something uniquely them.
