My great great uncle was also one of Capone's drivers. He failed to get away one time after dropping Capone off somewhere and one of the gang leaders was captured. He commited suicide that night because he knew what Capone would do to him if he found out, and now he is buried in Granite City, IL.

Lake Wales is a stopping point and probably the lake served as a dumping ground. Alfonse Capone had it built. It's now a bed and breakfast but back then he was in the middle of nowhere. It is in The Herion Diaries. Funny story.

I live in central Florida and I know where there is a huge house on this lake. Back then there was nothing but oranga groves and scrub oaks. This place has a get away route out through these thick as scrub. They pave it because of sugar sand. About two miles north west is a neighborhood of mansions dating back to the late 20s and 30s.Lake Wales Florida with Bok Tower, spook hill,and the world famous Chalet Suzanne resteraunt and inn.
