  • Is there a counter to this? This position also happens when the guy goes for a single leg and stands up.

  • Or you can go for a toe-hold whilst you've got your opponents leg.

  • Personally i think just tripping him puts you most of the time in his guard on the floor. You have one of his legs anyway so why not use that advantage to not only take him down but put him in a bad position i.e: the one reilly does here...he ends up with one of his ukes legs in a position for a submission straight away and his uke has very little to work with. I like the look of this technique ...gets a thumbs up from me :)

  • seems complicated. why not just catch his leg and trip him so you can get on top?
