I love the trailer for "Empire". There were no words or narration, just the best of the action sequences. I was six when that came out and I'll never forget seeing it in the theater

@thebeststuntboy What is in the door are Wampas. That sticker is a warning and at the time, echo base is being invaded by the Empire. What happens is, C-3PO rips it off to fool the troops into entering it.

@Abriggs500 Cos this was in all the ROTJ trailers. Lucas wanted fans to assume Luke would still have a blue lightsaber so it was a massive surprise when people were introduced to the first green lightsaber.

at 3:14, C-3PO rips something of a door

at 3:21-22, Lando looks like he's leaning down and getting up or something like that

@elcap22 the C3PO shot is from a deleted scene where he ripped off a door sign so that the stormtroopers didn't know there were Wampas in the room. there was going to be an extended scene where the stormtroopers went into a room with two Wampas in and were killed by them.

The Lando scene is from the part of the movie where he was being strangled by Chewie after taking off his handcuffs

These are fantastic thanks so much for putting them up. these are the best movies ever made! i remember i used to own the original vhs before the rerelease. but of course when the dvds came out i didnt think and i bought them and ended up losing the old vhs. my loss :(

Revenge of the Jedi was changed to Return of the Jedi because Lucas said that a Jedi doesn't seek revenge.

The lightsabers from The Duel scene in the Empire Strikes Back trailer are still not painted in. They're the actual props used by the actors. That's why they look so different.

The light sabers were sopposed to be used by every one but george lucas said no jedi/sith only...in the expanded universe nobles would use a lower power "plasma sword" for duels.

the light saber is a "plasma sword"

revenge of the jedi was changed cause lucas said that jedis dont hold revenge thats a sith belief so thats probly why the 3rd is called revenge of the sith

When Lucas was planning the prequel trilogy, he probably already planned out that the third one would be called Revenge of the Sith. I think he changed it to avoid confusion.

No chance. It's well known that Lucas made it all up as he went along. Even as late as 1979 Lucas hadn't even decided that Vader was Luke's father. And at the time Empire was made, there was no conception in Lucas's mind that Leia was Luke's sister. He had only the barest notion of the story skeleton of the large scale arcs, let alone the titles.

@KaitainCPS You're talking about the original trilogy. George Lucas had the basic story of the prequel trilogy pretty planned out for years.

He often makes claims to this effect, but it's pretty obvious reading interviews with people who worked with him that this is basically untrue. Unless by "basic" you mean "Anakin becomes a jedi and then falls to the dark side". That's about as far as it went.
