Really sad video. Michael's love for Billy was so sweet. You can't help but feel sympathy for him. Almost everyone falls in love only to have the other person not return their feelings.

How sad. If only Michael was a Michelle, he and Billy could have at least had a long-distance relationship when Billy went away to that dancing school. But at least he wasn't a twat about it and ran away shouting "Eww! Michael's gay!"- I think it's really considerate and sweet of him to give him a kiss on the cheek.

@DarkChipmunks989 I suppose the fact that Michael's a boy does make their situation more spontaneous and stands out from all the other on-screen "love affairs" (should I say.) You know: boy and girl are best friends, boy starts to drift away, boy and girl argue, girl is upset, boy returns and apologies, girl proclaims love, boy reciprocates.

I was so sad at the end of this movie, but it was bittersweet, too. They were just too cute together, and then Billy goes off to the dancing school and leaves Michael behind. (But with THE BEST parting I've ever seen!) Michael must feel so lonely. Billy was the only one who knew he was gay, he's also his best friend, and now he's gone. He can't really be himself around anyone anymore. And also Billy must feel pretty bad. He's leaving his best friend behind.

It was a lovely movie. Simply amazing!

Stuart Wells is gorgeous. He portrays Michael so perfectly, it's beautifully understated, and he gives the character dignity and maturity that a 11 year old could never pull off (no wonder they picked a 17 year old to play the role...).

I can't get over Stuart Wells' eyes... Good lord he's beautiful.

In a way, the fact that Billy doesn't reciprocate is what accentuates characters like Michael.

Unrequited, impossible and painful love. We've all met those characters, They're always awesome, always full of spunk and eccentricity. And we always love them.
