@girlygirlari I'm a beauty therapist and I'd definately recommend exfoliating regularly, with any hair removal treatment really, especially waxing. This will help prevent ingrowing hairs and they wont grow back as prickly. Hope this helps :)

@22mommy2be You can buy lots of exfoliators at shops nowadays, that will do the job. You want something that is quite 'gritty' but something as simple as mixing sugar and olive oil together willwork. The sugar will exfolaite, whilst the olive oil will keep the area moisturised and nourised. Hope I helped :) x

If you find a good waxer it shouldn't hurt. If they use HOT best quality wax and are fast. I can get a FULL Brazilian in 10 minutes almost pain free and no swelling or pain after with my waxer cuz she uses hard wax she can do one whole side at a time NEVER ask to do it in little strips one at a time its worse and the whole ordeal carrys on for much longer. The very first waxer was shit I went there 5 times it took 30 mins and it hurt for 2 days after. Before changing and seeing she wasn't good

3:44 HA! Best! I've been waxing myself for YEARS. Never questioned it at all. Once you know how to do your legs, you can start doing the bikini area and get closer in when you're ready. Also some of the areas I can't reach, I use gorilla tape for. Interesting but it works! Pinch some hair between your butt cheeks with gorilla/duct tape and pull. Helps a LOT! Pinch the tape so it touches itself. Works great.

"No Scream Cream" (1oz appx $15) works great for numbing the area first, it's 20% benzocaine...Apply liberally to all tender bits, cover in plastic wrap, leave on 25-20 mins and wash off *thoroughly*. Takes a Brazilian from leap-off-the-table painful to mildly uncomfortable. To the point where I actually do my own at home now. You can get the same amount of benzocaine in "Boil Ease" (1oz $6), but the oil based ointment is a bit harder to wash off. Best to use lots of soap and a washcloth

I agree that the area on the pubic mons is the most painful (which was very surprising the first time I went, as I, too, expected the labia to be the most sensitive). My experience w/the "thong" area in the back has been knees to my chest while it's being done & was probably the *least* painful part. Some waxers are very meticulous & will get *all* hair, from the inner edges of your labia outward & will actually pluck stray hairs that are left, others have left patches of stubble YMMV Great Vid!

@poopersooper123 Double-dipping is exactly what it sound like. It's not using the same wax pot for all customers; it's dipping the same stick into the pot more than once. If you see your waxer put the same stick they just used back into the pot, stop them and do not go back to them. It's not sanitary and a good esthetician will not do this.
